Anne,

Ridiculous that they can't come up with any better explanation. :-(

Hope you feel better soon, hon.

Ehm, you don't happen to have someone to help you out with that hard

ork of yours, do you? I'll come help you! Ohh, I forgot, I am stuck

in bed here in England... but I'll come anyway :)

I hope they'll sort you out, pain is no fun. Tell them to get

something done about it or look if you can find an other doctor.

Something I do all the time is telling my doctor what test I want to

have done, like ultra sound and stuff... sometimes they just don't

seem to think. So, you might have to help them out a little... they

are only humans after all and often they have a lot to think about.

Anyway, I'm thinking about you and I really hope you get sorted

out... soon!

Love,

Jo

We got about 5in here near Syracuse... it wouldn't be all that bad

except for the snowplow guys for the Park have extended our driveway by

6 foot... nothing like having to shovel the road! We're down to one car

width.. Hopefully we will never need major emergancy equiptment up here.

The hubby should ahve my snowblower put back together tonight so I won't

look like a wild woman out there with the little electric snowshovel

again this year! LOL

It's too much fun is what it is...... no really, an electric snow shovel

is a very small snow blower about as wide as a shovel and has a small paddle

thing that turns and throws the snow and is powered by electricity. You should

see me with my 100ft power cord!

You'll enjoy it... it's really meant for light snow and sidewalks, but

it does a good job on a full driveway if you catch it while the snow

isn't too deep... I often run out a few times during a storm and clear

it out. It's so easy to use that once my hubby gets the gas powered one

running I'll be letting my 7 year old use the electric one (with me

right behind him every step of the way of course! he thinks he's so cool

and it's good for him to help with chores like this without really

knowing he's doing a chore :) It's made by Toro and I think they make 3

different electric ones.... the lady across the street here has the next

size up and it's able to cut through a good heavy snow fall. I got this

from my Dad who got it for clearing the snow load of his roof (mobile

home) he used it twice and went out and bought a snow rake instead. He

just can't climb ladders like he used to. Now my hubby does the roof

racking for just about the whole neighborhood. We're quiet the snow

moving family!

haha, I hope that you can get some snow. At least

the snow won't be here too long so that's kind of

good. At least the roads aren't icy so that's great.

oh yeah I'll send some snow down your way.

Yeah, the snow has almost melted, except the snow

balls and the snow man are still standing.

Same here, Walter. We had snow on Friday, bitterly cold and windy all

weekend and more snow coming today. Dampness, cold weather, humid weather

all set mine off. Hmm, sounds like a need a climate where it's dry and

60-75 degrees. Sounds boring but I'd probable feel a lot better!

Great news about your cataract surgery!

Hey Donna,

Guess everyone is getting a piece of this snow. It looks like Washington

won't be clear until Thursday!! This is not the Northeast. The snowplow

didn't even come today yet and it's 6:30 PM. So, kids for 3 days and still

sick. Can't even go out and play in the snow.

Hope your snow is sticky. Ours was not.

Diane :)

Take it easy, Walter, don't try to shovel it all at once, take lots of rest

breaks if you don't have a snow blower. Don't drive, you'll just get stuck

and then if you are lucky you won't get hit by another car. Take it from a

Canadian, heavy wet snow is a killer. Best wishes and God bless.

We also have over 2 feet in the center of Cheser County, west of Philly.

Philly has given up and schools are closed for Tuesday. We are still

waiting to hear if we have school tomorrow. Just got back from the Poconos

where we went for snow tubing and sliding, camping in the winter, etc. On

the way south we went into the blizzard.

Was in Richmond VA area for the '96 storm- school closed for a week and 4

feet of snow where we lived!!

Well, so far here in Philly, we've got two feet and it's still snowing.

They expect this to be almost as bad as the blizzard of '96. Schools are

closed any way today, but I don't see how they are going to open tomorrow.

I don't even want to imagine that, Walter! Everyone else panics and stocks

up on bread and milk when snow is forecast; I make sure my meds are all

taken care of!

Our total east of burg, Pennsylvania was about 24 inches. Some places

close by got to 30 inches. That's what we normally get in an entire winter!

My wife and son did the shoveling and I ran the snowblower off an on most

of the day -- plenty of breaks. We hired a guy to plow the lane and it was

money well spent.

Hope you're doing OK, Walter. Ditto for any others in areas that got hit

with this storm.

You know Diane, it was oddly like sand....made it *hard to play in* snow.

But Duff did some shoveling last night and said it was deceivingly

heavy....course when you have 20+ inches of it on the ground, it's bound to

be. LOL

Donna

P.S. Sorry you have sick ones Diane....makes being holed up even harder!!
