Don,Will you please ask the doctors to order a biopsy for you?  Your viral load and liver function tests are not true indicators of what is going on with your liver.  The only way you will know for sure is with a biopsy.  Time to get that done...

So it will be interesting to see if starting my sups again will help with those issues as well.

Its going to be 65 degrees.....yayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! :-)

Don, somewhere deep in the links library, there is an article you posted last summer about how the labs are not accurate to tell what condition your liver is actually in. That article went on to say that the labs wil even revert to " normal " as the damage to liver progresses. I know my ALT and AST have always been normal until just the last month of tx. But biopsy showed grade 3 damage 16 months ago. So yes please discuss biopsy with Dr tomorrow .Meanwhile we wish you Good Labs, and await your return. I don't know - with liver function tests, I can understand why Don has not been sent for one yet!! The stress on his heart could be worse than the biopsy. I know that up here, you had to have 3 bad liver functions in a row; before the Medical Plan would allow even the thought of doing tx.Let us all know in any case.Gloria

Ahhh caught me out on that Trudy!! Yes, I usually scream at the top of my lungs about the biopsy being the ONLY true source. Your damage was likely grade 3 and a bit of 4! When I went in for the start up of my clinical trial, I was damn grateful that I already had history because my lab reports had gone back to normal - I was grade 4.Gloria
