Guest guest
How are you doing now?? Cynde Happy Valentine's Day As the day draws to a close I have to take a second to say Happy Valentines Day to 2 groups of friends that are the best. The past year has been trying and had it not been for the love, the care and the support of you guys I likely would have crumbled to the core. It was one year ago yesterday I was told I had cancer. I was so nervous and so scared and truly felt alone but only for a brief moment because within minutes you began sending me well wishes, positive messages and tons of prayers. Thank again and luv to all! Donna

**************
The year's hottest artists on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. Guest guest
Donna, I am sure this has not been an easy year. Cancer is hard enough and then the emotional roller coaster of a marriage doesn't help either. Besides just dealing with Arthritis. You are a very strong woman Donna, and have lots to be proud of, stand tall! I hope you can look back on the last year and pat yourself on the back and see how far you have come! What a woman! ....in chilly Minnesota! ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of cynde lee Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2008 9:31 PM Subject: Re: Happy Valentine's Day How are you doing now?? Guest guest
Cynde....I feel incredible. For those who are new and do not know the story. I was (unexpectedly) dx'd with colon cancer on 2/13/07. I had full abdominal opening surgery on March 13. The reason for full opening was I also have scleroderma and the worst of it is on my abdomen making laproscopy impossible. I had 1 foot of my colon removed and was declared cancer free. God and friends are good!!! I cannot take?radiation due to my other health problems and chemo could have been fatal because of complications it can bring. So catching it early and tons of prayer saved me. I had many residual issues to follow surgery but neve surrendered to them. Overall I feel the best I can now. Now my year is up and all cancer screenings start next week. I am hopeful, positive and feel good, and believe??that all be fine. hangin tight! Donna Re: Happy Valentine's Day How are you doing now?? Guest guest
Thank you for sharing Cynde. God is good and I am so blessed. At age 4 my problems began. I was originally dx'd with poly JRA, then scleroderma. Both were aggressive. I have also battled hemolytic anemia which was close to fatal, then the cancer. After the cancer dx the scleroderma revisited but only briefly. As I head into my 1 year of being cancer free I love to hear stories like you shared. It helps keep me positive. Thanks again! Guest guest
Hi Donna, thanks for telling me your story. God is so good! You have a double whammy with Scleroderma and colon cancer! I wanted to tell you about my mom who is 87 and is a colon/breast cancer survivor of 18 years. She is doing so well and the cancer has been so long ago now. I always try to tell people about her who are going thru this. God is the great healer! Am praying that you stay cancer free and that your scleroderma doesn't not progress! Keep me posted. Am praying for you! Hugs! Cynde Happy Valentine's Day As the day draws to a close I have to take a second to say Happy Valentines Day to 2 groups of friends that are the best.
