Guest guest
I couldn't have said that any better myself. I think there is something about being diagnosed with what could be a life threatening illness that changes your perspective on things too. Unless someone has been in our shoes, they have no idea. I have been using the line lately " you are just a diagnosis away from financial ruin " and that tends to wake some people up. She should know a whole lot better, working in a clinic. On my Facebook today, my baby brother's wife was complimenting how strong the 3 girls are being. She said their Dad taught them - " what goes around - comes around " - " don't judge, pay it forward and be kind to others " . Perhaps that is why over 600 people showed up at his Celebration of Life!! I really believe that many of us here have been dealt some pretty awful cards; but, the important thing in that, is how we learned to play them!! I'll bet you have learned stuff about yourself that you never ever thought was possible?? Paying it forward only means, be there for another person that may need you for strength and support. If there is nothing else that I accomplish in my entire life, I just hope that I have touched and helped someone that really needed a friend!!! Thank you gloria but i have no choice than to play the hand i am dealt although i sometimes feel i am nearing my breaking point & if that nurse at my dr appt says one judgemental comment i may lose it.
