Guest guest
Not sure what Dr.R prescribes as I was already on the patch. I use Vivelle Dot .05 and have had no problems and virtually no nausea. You might try that. Also, they don't come off. I had tried another type prior and it was always falling off. Guest guest
Try putting the patch in the front, right or left side above the pubic hair line. They stay on much longer. Angels on your Pillow,

The blood tests did came back completely at normal levels though. > > Being I'm not having a period so I doubt I'm ovulating I'm thinking I'm low in estrogen. In the last 2 years my husband and I haven't had sex very much because of the irritation I've had in that area. This has gotten so much better so sex doesn't irritate me as much anymore. > > My question is...do you think by being more intimate with my husband...this would help increase my estrogen level? Or is that way too far fetched? +++Hi , Having more sex doesn't balance out hormones because your own body can only do that when it is ready. However, sex can relax you so you aren't running on your fight/flight nervous system so much, and it helps keep the hubby happy. Happy hubbies make happier homes. : ) Cheers, Bee
Guest guest
One thing I recently read is that the liver works to convert Estrogen into other hormones. When the liver doesn't work so well, it can't do all these conversions, so we have more estrogen in our bloodstream and the rest of the body. I read too that the liver palm and spider nevi are signs of too much estrogen. SO: when I approach menopause, will I not need to worry about Estrogen Replacement Therapy? Any other good Estrogen stories or links? Thanks Cynde
Guest guest
Cynde,Not being a doctor, I'm going to leave that one between you and your OB/Gyn... From personal experience, I had a hysterectomy less than a year after I finished treatment. It was expected that I would need hormones immediately... I didn't. I did wind up with them about a month after surgery due to crazy hot flashes but I was only on them for about a year. Taking nothing now and I'm just fine. I guess each person might react differently. Hormone replacement is a pretty individualized thing. Sorry I'm not more of a help on that one.Hugs,TeriOn Tue, Feb 22, 2011 at 4:46 PM, Cynde Moya <cyndemoya@...> wrote: One thing I recently read is that the liver works to convert Estrogen into other hormones. Guest guest
Cynde,The other thing that can cause the night sweats and hot flashes during treatment is Thyroid issues. Those tend to pop up for a lot of people during treatment. Usually they go away after tx is over but many people need Synthroid during treatment. The ‘gotta get up and change the sheets’ sort. But I’m still a couple years away from menopause. For whatever reason, those stopped once I got used to the daily shots. As for the guys – well, it’s true. The excess estrogen can cause gynecomastia, reduced sex drive, etc. etc. Cynde Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post | Start a New Topic Messages in this topic (445) Recent Activity: New Members 7 New Links 52 Visit Your Group
