Guest guest
Jen, That is a lot of walking! I would probably alternate the cardio dvds with some of it just for variety. Otherwise, I'd get sick of walking, but that is just me. If you find you stick to it better if it is walking instead of a cardio dvd, then walk. Anything you do is going to be beneficial, just make sure you are getting into your target heart rate range, be it walking or aerobics. Adjust your workout by your heart rate. Also, give yourself some rest days if you need them. My calves would be killing me from that much walking so you may need to do some aqua aerobics instead of walking to allow for rest of those muscles and joints from the impact. The weights and flexibilty look great, but again you can use the flexibilty as a recovery workout from too much impact of cardio if you need it also. My only concern is that it is a lot of cardio and may lead to burn out if you don't give yourself enough rest. Tonya Your opinion wanted Hi Everyone! I have a question for all of you but especially the personal trainers in this group. I want to lose as much weight as I can before my cruise on August 18th but I want to do it safely and I don't want to regain the weight that I lose. I plan on walking a lot and will probably use the exercise room on the ship so I should be able to maintain my weight loss. Here is my exercise plan: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday - starting with 30 minutes a day in the morning (adding 5 minutes each week) and 30 minutes every evening (not adding additional minutes.) Fridays - walking only ONCE minutes. In addition, following Kathy 's Project: YOU - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - weight training Upper/Lower alternating. Wednesday - Pilates Core and Yoga Flex. Ok now for the question: Should I do the aerobics dvd along with the Kathy 's weight training dvds or just do the walking? I don't want to burn myself out. I wanted to know what you all thought of my plan. Please let me know asap, & nbs

Guest guest
I know all about the swollen ab! I too have been up to 10 months prego. Doc wasn't too concerned but I wound up in the ER with horrible pain, shortness of breath and sloppy?? heart beat. (Was glad Doc was out of the country. Finally got some relief!) Went to Doc for follow-up and was put on massive doses of diuretics (after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, maybe a threat or two). Doc went so far as to tell me my belly would never go down completely. He lied. I can paint my toe nails again and can breath thank God! I know all too well how miserable you must be and hope you get some relief soon. I started looking forward to all the trips to the potty. Figured my body was finally letting go!!! Guest guest
Trudy, Yup, almost everything does say or should say the warnings to the liver but the choice is ours whether we want to hear it, or we think the immediate benefit of the drug is worth the risk.?? Something as simple as food coloring, or the dyes on the medications to color code them are also going thru the liver, but when they outright tell you there are risk factors i trust there have been enough cases reported to justify that risk, again the choice is each of ours to make its our one and only body and no-one can make decisions for us only attemp to offer advice. Guest guest
Dear Trudy, I am also very perplexed and concerned about your many health problems, drug trials and lack of proper diagnosis. I've noticed you mention a few times on the list about drinking Crystal Light. I would like to share this article on Aspartame, the artificial chemical sweetener in Crystal Light. And I'll tell you a little story. My Mom has always been overweight. She also worked very hard as a little girl as the oldest of 6 kids. So when all the box mixed foods came out she opted for the convenience over nutrition. She also buys everything Low Fat, No Fat, artificial sweetener everything. My Mom is still fat, is still eating a lot of fake food and artificial sweeteners and she has multiple health problems with no known cause. She has FIBROMYALGIA, A-FIB HEART PROBLEMS (RACING HEART THAT THEY HAVE TO PADDLE AND RESET, PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY, (DEATH OF NERVES IN HER HANDS AND FEET, NUMB TO HER KNEES, MANY SURGERIES AND ULCERS ON HER FEET), BLINDNESS (SHE JUST WENT BLIND IN ONE EYE), BRAIN FOG, (SOME DAYS SHE CANNOT SAY THE WORDS SHE'S THINKING OR ADD A FEW NUMBERS), ETC., ETC. Her doctors have asked her if she has diabetes, that would explain the neuropathy, but she doesn't. She takes 30 assorted pills a day. Her hair is thin in the front because of that. All of those symptoms are part of Aspartame poisoning. I have given her information and she lives across the state from Dr. , who named the syndrome, but she won't go and still drinks the Crystal Light. Google BETTY MARTINI and read all her research on Aspartame Poisoning. It is a neurotoxin. Maybe this has nothing to do with your problems but wouldn't it be amazing if you changed your diet and regained your health!! I've always been a big natural health and living fan. So this is very interesting to me, especially watching my Mom lose her life so slowly and painfully. I pray the best for you, Trudy. You are a fighter. You love life. Guest guest
Great info Deb... definitely something to consider Trudy..... I have tried to avoid artificial sweeteners my entire lifer. Something about using a chemical to replace something that occurs naturally just bothers me. hmmm.... maybe I was on to something.
