Honey, we are glad you are home safe and sound. Heart doctors seem to all get to the point and not beat around the bush. You can do exactly what he said and get the benefits. It is easier said than done. We will be here with you all the way. We need you to take care of us so remember you are doing it for everyone including you. I have been patching it for about 4 wks now and its not so bad and yes you are still getting the nictione but not all the other poisons - chemicals they are putting into cigs now days and yes it is easier on your heart and lungs. As for you liver well it is still getting nictione but there again not all that other crap. Hope you try the patches they do work. Beth

DonWell, let's both give up the cigarettes together!!! The cold/flu crappy thing that I had for 2 weeks is still doing a pretty good job of not allowing me to smoke. I only had 2 packs in 2 weeks and geez, if you could see the big butts I have. However, the way I see it, I managed to live when I couldn't smoke, why not just keep going.I have had Zyban and the main ingredient is a low dose Wellbutrin. That seems funny to me; because, I'm on a prescription for Wellbutrin now and it sure doesn't interfere with my smoking. However, we know the habit is controlling our lives and we need to conquer it, finally. Now, for some reason, I remembered that one of the replacement Drs.

I saw one time, also was an exercise freak. However, he described to me, a good exercise at no cost. Take two cans of something, like soup or beans or whatever you buy in cans. Lift those continuously like they were actual weight. That Dr. swore that a person doesn't really need the weights. You know, I gave up over 45 years ago, working on my chest. I got what I got and that's all there is. It's the act of lifting something many times that gets everything circulating.Luv Gloria
