Vera,It is so good to hear from you.  I'm glad you got moved safely and to safety.  I lived in California til 1980...  not sure why I left, I wish I could undo that little action!  Right now I want to move back so badly.  I lived in Laguna and Capistrano Beach for 8 years.  I miss the weather tremendously.  I am 53 and the cold here in Chicago is finally getting to me!

I think the hep c depletes our vitamin levels...  sunshine is a good source of vitamin D and you have plenty of that out there... take advantage of it and sit outside for 20 minutes a day.

I have heard about all that commotion in Arizona.  I have a friend out there who is directly affected by that craziness.  She is in end stages of hep c.  She needs a transplant and will have to go to California to get it done.  So sad.

At 51 you have a lot of time left...  I know with the Fibro each day can be so painful.  I have it as well.  Hep c is gone, Fibro took it's place.  Fun stuff huh?  Just sitting here now the pain is tremendous for me.. the cold doesn't help at all.. it makes it worse.   I have been reading about some breakthroughs in treatment...  there are things in the pipeline that could make it so you can treat hep c without Interferon and Ribavirin...  it's coming just hold on for it.  Should be within the next few years.  I know of one company that is 3 years from having that protocol on the market so it's out there..  I've met the doctors and scientists that are working on it and they are excited.  There will be an end to hep c.  It will happen in OUR lifetime I am sure of it.

Stay strong...  and keep us posted.  Now that you are moved, hopefully somewhat settled in....    Where in Ca are you?  I am ready to go back to Laguna Beach...  just have to win the lottery first!

This is Vera in Ca, I got moved, and I am so blessed not to be beneath that mountain any longer because we have been getting tons of rain. I am loving my new location/apt. My labs came back that I am low on vit D, which I do not understand because I take a calcium with D, so I have increased the vit D 400 iu to 2000, but than just got a call back from doc saying to increase to 800 iu (oops) and she also said to take B12 which i do take a B complex, and she said take a multiable vit. I asked for a bone scan because I have so much bone pain or maybe it's the fibro connective tissue problem pulling on the bones. My doc said I was too young for a bone scan and to wait till I am 65? so why is my D being depleted? There is a march rally taking place in AZ March 5th to get transplant funding back, which medicaid has been cut since also. I think across the boards everything is being cut. I hear, welfare will be cut, medical/medicaid, SSI...it's all on the chopping block! Pretty scary!! Will see. I am keeping u all going thru tx in my prayers.Anyone who can defeat the dragon is a true warrior, because it certainly is not an easy battle. I wait patiently for a new tx that i can do! If it ever came down to a transplant I think I would pass it on to a young person whom has their whole life ahead of them, being 51 I am not that old but have been blessed to have lived many years more than some. VeraYou are much too young to say pass on a transplant! If the Drs had been in my face when I was 51, I likely would have looked at it a whole lot different. Come to think about it, I didn't even know that I had Hep C at 51.You must have a pretty good Dr. that she promotes vitamins!! I know that Don is going to have an answer about the Vita D; but, I think that the virus screws with that one pretty much. ny over in Hawaii had/has problems with Vita D and both of you live in places that get a whole lot of sun. Weird.Actually, Vita B12 is different than taking a complex B. Sometimes our bodies just can't get enough of what it needs and that's why taking

supplements. Also, it is a good plan obviously, for you to just add a "good" multi-vitamin. Really, I only think we are taking vitamins that are good, if we ask for help in a Vitamin Store.I don't take vitamins anymore; but, I did for about 35 years. I'm just mad at them because my Hep C was already so bad when I first learned I even had it. So, if I could get myself in the habit, I truly do believe that juicing is the way for us to get more of what our bodies need, naturally.Gloria
