Hi Trudy

Thats not good news.

We were all hoping that you would stay undetectable, and be free.

You have gone thru alot, and I know your devestated, but please try to hang on.

This is NOT the end of the story.

You may have lost this one battle, but you have not lost the war yet.

Trudy there are so many things in the Pipeline that I cant list them all.

Everything from the Protease Inhibitors comming out this summer to eventually that one pill treatment [non-interferon] thing I have posted about being tested in Europe right now.

It may take a few years for some of these things to see the light of day, but they are happening, and bunches more besides.

Every time they come up with a new approach, they find 3 more things to look into.

Im sort of in the same boat - I may not be able to do the treatment anytime soon.

The Interferon/Riba stuff anyways.

Im not going to lose HOPE that someday there will be a med just for me.

Meanwhile I am doing what I can to slow down the HCV, and protect my liver.

You know the diet, suppliment, lifestyle, thinking things.

You might think about this approach too.

There are a lot of us who cant, or wont treat with todays killer meds.

One last thing - even though you didnt win this battle - you did a lot of good for your body.

You did NOT go through this treatment for nothing.

Awhile back I posted an article about the benefits of treating, even if one doesnt clear.

I will have to look for it, and post it just for you.

Now I want you to take a deep breath, and look up.

The sky is still blue, and that means that there is still HOPE.

Who knows what the future will bring?

And you need to get your health back as much as you can right now.

Concentrate on that.

We all love you so much Trudy.

Have a good cry, but dont forget to smile later on.

Like I say, there is HOPE.

love

Oh Trudy!!!Like Betty, my first tx did not kick the dragon out either! After 48 wks of the stuff. Honestly Trudy, my specialist and the Hep C nurses thought I was the poster child on that treatment!! At that time, I could not find very much information about non-responders and felt very very alone. However, 3-1/2 yrs later, I'm asked to participate in a clinical trial and the rest is history now.We all love you and yes, feel your pain as well!!Luv Gloria

Dear Trudy, I dont know your whole story but it sounds like the tx did not work, It did not for me either. i cried so bad, i thought i had he flu when the Dr told me it was back, OMG the devastation I know u feel, is I went thru all that for nothing. Please dont look at it that way, my Dr told me (maybe to get me to stop crying IDK) that i knew the odds, i did, but that what if i never tried?? I may never qualify for any clinical trials. I believe most of them are for those of us who it did not work so they are adding another drug to it. Let your body get well ( about a year) by then you can try to get in a clinical and try again. If im given the opportunity to I will do it again, Look at Gloria she succeeded on her 2nd time around (not the 1st) We can all learn to live a better life

knowing we have it. You did not fail the tx, the tx failed you this time.

Feeling your pain today, Betty

I'm back awake to smoke LOL. I really think it is great that ALL of y'all are like a big snuggley blanket, when we need you. You know what the third thing I thought of when Dr told me? ( don't ask the first two-it would make y'all accomplices). That I needed, really needed to get my new semi- automatic pistol out cause I bet I could show all the targets no mercy ! Just a redneck thing." A well-behaved woman never made history " Mae Westhttp://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 On Mar 4, 2011, at 9:45 PM, Gloria <gadamscan@...> wrote:

TrudyYou are so right about the folks here being like a warm cozy blanket!! We all understand one another, like anybody who has not been bitten by the dragon could possibly understand.Sadly, I would rather be here in my solice, in front of my computer, reading the days email, than to go anywhere. Out there, in that world, there are only people that judge etc.I hope you only wanted your pistol to shoot at targets. BH hubby certainly doesn't deserve it yet. LOL LOL I know that it's whatever helps to get the anger and disappointment out of us.Hang in ThereGloria
