ny, did they maybe throat was Thrush? I've been off tx a month and still battling trush in my throat & mouth. And yes, absolutly Hcv causes ALL kinds of unrelated issues. I've been using a perscripSkin cream for Dermititus yeast. My skin will get a yeast infec. Myy ear canals swell fom thier own yeast infec. Had to put tubes in ears a year ago. well I went to the Queen clinic today for the follow up, I surprising got a new doctor who is really good, and knows alot about Hep C.

My throat has gotten worse, very red, inflamed and there are some white spots, I think they said that they were lichens. They did say I have a viral infection, and they think it is why my WBC count is very high. I forget 16 or 17. I was told that Hep C can cause these throat issues, is this true?

Also, told them about how my liver hurts, finally a doctor who believes the liver can hurt! I almost cried when he was pushing on it. He ordered a liver ultra sound for next month. he says this will show how much inflammation there is.

ny...  In all reality, HCV does not cause throat issues..  After treatment your immune system is compromised so you are more susceptible to infection and sore throats and the like.  HIV is spread by blood.  Much the same way HCV is.  

ny, you need some good doctors..  I really wouldn't waste much more time with those doctors in Hawaii if you are going back to the East Coast.  It's a waste of your time.  Really it is.  Your best bet is to get yourself back home and on track with doctors that can finish what they are going to start.

They said there is a more advanced HIV test than the one I got. After I told them I live myself, and never go out, no sex, needles, etc.(They made it seem like HIV was only caused by sex, needles, but I am sure there are many other ways to get it) then they said it might be due to HCV. They seemed very concerned about it, which always scares me!

I will also be going tot he dentist, as mu mouth hurts, jaw hurts.They also said I am red, and have rashes. I don't them I look red, because I am irish, but they did not buy that. My face looks like it is sunburned, but I never go out during the day, so it is not. Then the bloating, stomach among other things. Yikes, i am a mess.
