Guest guest
Hi everyone! I just got back. The dentist put the exray of my tooth up on the screen and gave me a funny look and said that he wanted me to go to this expert for a 2nd opion. What I have he told me is very rare. Its called extral resorption. My body has eaten away at the root below the bone line heading tores the nerve. It is not decay. He wants it looked at right away and he is pretty sure that the tooth is going to have to be pulled. I told him that it really wasn't that sore. And he said that in the cases he has seen. (He is 62)that they didn't even know anything was wrong until found on exrays. We looked at my old exrays from right before I had implants and my tooth was healty and normal. I asked him if want I have been going through with my implants could have had something to do with it, and he said I don't want to say anything but it could have. Now I want all my teeth exrayed just to be sure. Because if this happened to one tooth ???????????? And since he said most people don't have symptoms. God I wish I had found this web site before I put that poison in my body.
Guest guest
Well that stinks, Cricket. I haven't heard of this before. I know there seems to be more dental problems with us, but wow, to have the tooth being eaten away at the root below the bone line? Did he say what causes that? Calcium leaching? Calcium malabsorption? Any clues? By the way, how long did you have your implants? I checked the database, but not sure if you were listed or not (didn't see cricket, but is that your name?)
