CherylI'm just so happy to hear about your daughter!! Did the Dr. really think that she should start tx? Sometimes, with such a low damage rate, they suggest waiting. I know that up here in Canada, she would not be considered by our medical system and that just is not fair. It's a whole lot easier to eradicate the virus while it still hasn't had time to do the damage. My hat is still off to you, Cheryl. I could not imagine looking after 6 kids under the age of 5, even when I'm healthy. But, sick - absolutely no way. Who cares about the house?? That housework fairy just never seems to show up, no matter how sick we are; so, it'll still be there waiting when tx is done. You know, when this is all over, you should thing about submitting your story to one of the online sites. Anonymously, of

course. But, I've gotta wonder how many other mothers there are out there, that have or will someday be, feeling terrible guilt about passing this to their children. It brings another whole light to this epidemic and the reason that absolutely everyone should be tested. At least all parents should be tested and then if any reason comes up, have the children tested. It wouldn't be any different than all of our family, offsprings and their offsprings need to be watched closely for colon cancer. We only learned that my brother had it on Jan 1st and yet he has already passed away. Testing for the HepC virus is just a lot easier than having the colon checked though.Gloria

Hi Gloria,

Thanks I appreciate that. This is how the doctor said it...'s results are grade 1 (lowest inflammation score) and stage 1 (lowest scarring/fibrosis score). This means she's has very little progression of her liver disease over the past 19 years! So this news is such a relief, now I can finish tx and not be so worried about her.

I could complain everyday about the itching, aches, chills, nausea, fatigue, hair loss, etc. I just figure it takes up too much of my energy thinking about it. I just get through day by day. I have never hated winter more than I have this year, it has been so hard on me while doing tx. I watch 6 kids under the age of 5 everyday and I am lucky that if I am not feeling well, I tend to them, get them busy doing something then I will lay on the couch and rest as much as I need. My house is suffering, but that is all. LOL I keep it straight, but good lord does it need a good spring cleaning!! Hugs,

Cheryl
