Guest guest
Hello. I had to change my i.d. name because I can't get my account to work. Yes, I'm still cold most of the time. I am going around in sweats,t- shirt, cardigan, thick socks and slippers most of the time at home and I'm still cold. My thyroid has been checked a million times, so far nothing. My mom and aunt (both had silicone implants, mom now switched to saline) have thyroiditis, so I wonder if it's genetic and I'm due to get it anytime. Doesn't it annoy you? How are you feeling otherwise? Your surgery is coming up pretty soon- I'm so excited for you. Guest guest
Thanks for asking... I'm having a severe Irritable bowel delema. They can't understand why I've had constant diarreah so are sending me to a specialist. This problem has gone on for 4 months. I also get really dizzy and delusional (practically) low enzymes and dehydration. I think I must have a bacteria or something. this is my second series of blood tests and stool tests. Second series isn't back yet. You know what, when I would go to compose and send to @... then hit send I kept getting a transmission problem. I can't send a message I originate, but can reply, that's why I'm not on the board much the last few days because I've been having trouble. I really working on weight loss. I'm trying to drink juice and water, eat salads and fruit. You'd say well that's why you have diarreha, right now I'm not. They give me a pill that constipates me for a few days, then I'm suppose to take it when the diarreha comes back. I'm also eatting two containers of yogurt per day. The good stuff with live cultures, dannon, breyers, etc. Reregulates the chemistry when you have irritable bowel Otherwise, I'm happy and not depressed. I think I'll walk tonight with my dog when it cools down, just a little more. I'm excited about explant too and do have my people mostly lined up. I have a ride down (not back), and a ride to and from to get drains out. The drive is an hour away. I'll go to an all women's hospital. Called MaGee Women's Hospital in the city of Pittsburgh. This hospital puts any hilton to shame. I was really impressed. My surgeon is the chief surgeon. He said he will take out implant "enbloc" in one piece as much as possible. alos he said if there is too much scar tissue he will have to have me back. He will use drains. Sounds thorough. Glad to chat with you. Yep my date is coming up August 14th. Enough about me, how are you. How many days has it been? I found a neat web site that shows before and after explant photos. Let me send this then I'll send it, in case I loose what I've written. Guest guest
I am not sure about this, but I thought that the liver is also responsible for heat control. My first cat experienced liver failure and we couldn't warm him up before that. Maybe eating only organic foods and no wheat, no dairy products (as recommended) etc. will help as it means less toxins in the liver -----Original Message-----From: michelle king [mailto:michellerking1@...]Sent: Donnerstag, 17. Guest guest
it sounds like things are coming together for you and that your on the road to better health! Congrats for being strong and doing the things you need to in order to recover. I am also glad that you seem to have found a local Dr that can help and that seems to understand the importance of removal en bloc, with the entire capsule as well. I was wondering about one thing that you said though, maybe you can tell me what exactly your Dr meant about if you have a lot of scar tissue that you will have to go back? I am just not sure I understand what you meant there. Anyhow it sounds like your on your way. We are all here for you girl. Hugs In , michelle king <michellerking1@y...> wrote: > Thanks for asking... Guest guest
I also think that the cold thing has allot to do with hormones, esp the thyroid. I don't think that the labs for the thyroid are always a great indicator of thyroid funtion either. I mean they can be somewhat misleading and different labs and Dr's have different opinions about what is normal and what is not. I must have had my thyroid checked about 10 times before i found the one Dr who felt they were not normal. After being on meds for almost a year, and losing tons of hair, I had to interpret my thyroid tests myself and I figured out that the meds were making me very hyperthyroid, then I was hot, lost hair, hungry all the time, could not sleep etc. It was pretty bad. I went off the meds and now I think I am doing much better. I was hypothyroid though for awhile and I think it was because my body was still healing from the implants. I know that when I was hypo I was cold all the time and tired and hungry etc. So it really could still have something to do with thyroid. I think that moving around is great to heat up your body and when you are laying down just get an extra blanket, wear socks around the house to keep your feet warm. I also wonder if poor circulation due to thickened blood has anything to do with this issue. Maybe try to take the baby aspirin to see if that helps. hugs wrote: > Hot teas may help warm you up. Guest guest
Lena, Do they check for thyroid antibodies? Sometimes, in the beginning of thyroid disease (thyroiditis) your thyroid hormones will come up normal, but you will show all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. But if you have the antibodies some docs will begin treatment with thyroid meds, as they know you may not be uptaking the hormones correctly. Have they ever tested your thyroglobulin levels or your peroxidase levels? These are the attacking antibody amounts. Find out, that may be of some help for you. Also, I have thyroiditis, and I couldn’t get warm or sweat, or lose weight no matter what I did, even on thyroid meds, but once I harmonized my hormones out (as I was very estrogen dominant-implants have a lot of estrogen like receptors as well as our environment) and was placed on natural progesterone, did I start feeling warm again, sweating, and overall better. Hair loss has stopped too. Your female hormones and thyroid work very close together. If one is out of whack, the other is too, and both being corrected can really improve, and or get rid of a thyroid condition altogether in some cases. Some say, that excess estrogen actually causes thyroid disorders, and once women are treated with progesterone, their thyroid conditions improve or go away. This is what I am hoping for. I am feeling wonderful now. Good Luck. nna Message ----- From: lena_beckk Sent: Thursday, July 17, 2003 4:25 PM Subject: Re: Heat Hello.I had to change my i.d. name because I can't get my account to work. Guest guest
Hi , I have been on LDN for over 13 months now. I have had MS for 27 years. I walk with two canes and a brace on my right leg. I had balance problems, muscle spasms, fatigue, numbness, dizziness, I fell all the time, bladder and bowel issues. And of course the heat was a major problem with me. Since the LDN I still walk with two canes but can walk with one. I just feel safer with two. I walk around my house without any canes lots of times. I haven't fallen even once since LDN, My spasms have eased up quite a bit. I was able to cut my spasm medication in half. Not too much numbness. My balance seems better (probably that is why I don't fall anymore). My bowel issues seem much better but my bladder seems about the same although I do have nights that I can sleep all night without getting up every couple of hours. My over all feeling inside is great. I just feel so much more like the old Marie except older. I did have an MRI and there was no progression, Hope this helps.
