Guest guest
Hi Everybody What a day. gad Went to my GP 6 month appmt for my liver labs, then on to the hospital for more tests. Got my Viral Load, and Liver Panel, but the lab tech poked the crap out of me. My veins kept collasping. A copy of the results will be mailed to me. We had a long talk about getting a liver biopsy, and the use of Telaprevir in treatment. My PA-GP surprised me - he knows alot about HCV treatment - he has been reading up on it. We discussed my liver suppliment use, or rather lack of, for the past 6 months. I will re-start those tomarrow. I told my doc that I wanted to be knocked out for the liver biopsy due to my PTSD. He said that he will discuss this with my Gastro because its dangerous. I told him that I couldnt do it any other way - if they knock me out, they can do what they please with me. The hospital did all sorts of stuff related to my heart - - labs - I think they were called a CMP ??? - CBC [anemia] - pro-BNP ??? - urinalysis [i tried to write down what they said, but Im not sure if I got it right] - they did imaging of my heart - stress test??? - they made me get on one of those automatic walking things with a EKG hooked up to me, and also tested my breathing at the same time I came real close to passing out, because they brought me right to the edge, and that spooked me. My chest, back, and legs still hurt. I had to leave in a wheelchair to the car because my legs gave out bigtime, and I was dizzy [lack of food and blood]. They said that my heart-doc would talk to me about the results next week. They sent me to Walmarts to buy a 'Resistance Tube Kit', which is 2 workout stretching contraptions, long and short, with handles and rubber band type stretch tubes. I can use them laying in bed, sitting/standing, and also while I ride my exercise bike. Cost - 6 dollars. They told me Medicaid would pay for more expensive ones, but for right now, this will get me started. They want me to go easy - not a intense workout - just some light stuff. I hope all these labs will be good, so I can treat and get this HCV crap outa me. Ive been waiting for over 2 years for the go-ahead. Anyways Im home now, and ready for a nap. I feel like I just went thru boot camp for the Marines. Thank God for Oxycontins, because today was a Fibromyalgia from hell day. It was a nice day, sunny and 65 degrees. I know spring is almost here because a fly landed on my nose. I love you all, and no, they didnt kill me. LMAO :-) love don in ks
