Wow Gloria, it's hard to believe it's been a year.  You've had your share of rough times too.  You're going to have 2 birthdays this year.. your real one in November is it?  And your cancer birthday.

I did have a small tumour right next to and beginning to push on, the hepatic portal.  I also had a larger tumour to the right and a lot further down.  Both were successfully operated on, in April.But, I sure understand what you are saying about the " looks good " !!  How the hell can it look good when we have these narly livers and areas where it is honestly dead.  I haven't even been able to ask the surgeon that did the resection on me, how much liver did he cut out.  So far, even though we

all thought it very well could be another tumour, when I went in for my first semi-annual Ultra Sound, it wasn't and soon I will be able to say that I am a 1 year cancer surviver.Gloria

TeriWell actually, I may be celebrating 3 birthdays!! April as a cancer survivor. In July I'll be 25 yrs sober and AA likes to make a big deal about that. Then, yup, my belly button birthday in November.

This is going to be a big year for you... And it's going to be all good. I can feel it in my bones... or is that the Fibro? LOL! WOW 25 years sober. That's something to really celebrate. That's big.

Gloria, I'd be yelling that from the mountain tops every chance I had.  You should be very proud of yourself.  That is a huge accomplishment, one a lot of people couldn't do.  Hugs,Teri

Yup - but, AA teaches us to watch out for our own egos etc. Another reason - as I'm accepting my cake and I'm giving the talk, I'm looking around at a whole room full of people, that might have a month or so. My years are absolutely impossible to grip the idea. How do I know? Away back in the beginning, a fella in the program was taking a 34 yr cake. That would be almost as old as I was at that time. Then, a few weeks later, his son was celebrating 15 yrs. I just could not process how that was possible.
