Guest guest
I will be glad when I can get my 8 remaining teeth pulled and start over with a " new " set! It really limits what I can eat. I do so love salads everyday! But it's too difficult right now with my teeth. Yes the Dragon sure wrecks our teeth! Yep my internist looks everything up before prescribing. He has a handy pocket computer with adverse reactions and drug interactions. He even looks back one full year to see what I have taken. I think it's because A) I made a great example of why it's important. I was in such bad shape from the wrong drugs! and it was his P. A. that doubled my dose of Elavil. I'm sure he knows it. It's in my charts. But it's all good now. I even went tracking two bobcats we have. They have moved in real close to house; actually have a den just off our driveway in the thicket. Man, two weeks ago I coudnt do that. Now I do it easily without any cares!(except my feet hurt!).I took my first dose of Celexa last night. I think we just might have a winner here. Thanks to all of you that offered advice during the past dark months. I really needed it. And I am heeding it with great rewards!" Antibiotics and bladder- retraining. HA! Exercise for my bladder! Then he went over my labs the oncologist ordered. Some weren't in yet. But CBC and Light Chains ALL NORMAL. I am "normal". I am on the way to recovering and being the healthy person I barely remember. I have been fighting this and faking healthy since 2002. Staying on weekly injections of B12 for another six weeks. Will try injections every 14 days after that. It took years of B12 shortage to get to this point and will take a while to get B12 normal. Will need my liver to recover then the B12 will get better natually. Any way, sorry for so long of a post. I'm encouraged and eager to enjoy a Healthy Me. Guest guest
Ahh but then, why did I lose them all a month after tx was over?? You know why Gloria.. cause it's from the hep c and not the treatment.... I'd love to let a few people walk a mile in my shoes but I doubt they would last more than 10 minutes. There was a month or a little bit more, when I seemed to constantly have to spit out another filling. That was the month after completing my 1st tx. So glad the Celexa is working Trudy.. it kicks in pretty fast actually. My teeth are a mess and it sucks so bad because I took such good care of them... and then treatment happened. UGH. I think only my front ones are still alive. All my back ones are dead. I'm glad you're getting back to feeling like your old self again.. That's great news. Guest guest
Quess I have the mirror image. Top is a partial of 4 teeth but nothing to anchor it to any more. Had all bottom teeth pulled except 4 in middle, but two of those fell out while on tx. As much as I love salads and fresh fruits, my gums get so sore before I can eat enough. Soon as I can save enough gonna get all " new". Terrified of dentist cause of a bad accident when I was eight and had emergency dental @ midnight with no sedation ( had head & spinal trauma, so no sedation). Good luck to us!!Save the earth... Also, my two front teeth (upper) is already a bridge. I just had to hope that the teeth that it is anchored to didn't rot away. There was lots of foods that I just couldn't eat as well. But, now it's almost impossible to really chew anything because of the loss of those two bottom teeth. Guest guest
I started having problems during treatment but from what my dentist said, the issue I have took a long time to happen. Doesn't correlate time wise with my treatment. That kind of problem where you're losing all your teeth takes years... but, you went thru treatment twice.. maybe it is the silly treatment. Who knows... all I know is I'm gonna wind up in dentures! Hugs,Teri I'd love to let a few people walk a mile in my shoes but I doubt they would last more than 10 minutes.
