Guest guest
, I have the same type of pain in both my feet. Numbness, all the time and quite regularly, the pins and needles, burning feeling. Mine comes from the nerves running from the SI joints. Sometimes it has caused pain in my whole leg...knee, etc. One foot seems to be fused...like I can't force it to turn out. 20 years ago, I had a bone scan and it lit up like a Christmas tree. Pretty much every joint in my body showed hot spots. The technician was really interested in my feet and hands...as every one of those joints lit up. Most of the literature on Ankylosing Spondylitis...mentions the spine, knees and shoulders as sites of fusion...but I've never seen an article mentioning all these tiny joints. However, many of us know that these can be just as inflamed. The last few months, I've had inflammation in the rib cage area. I've had this before many times, but this time it has been much worse. The major pain is in about the T.7/8 spine area and comes around all the ribs to the front. Feels like I'm in a horrible vise and it hurts to take even small breaths. Thank heavens it doesn't last but a few days each session. Flexeril seems to help the most with this problem. It even hurts to walk...the jarring sets it off into spasms. When we think we've had all the symptoms...another one creeps up. Just when you think you're doing a good job of coping and dealing with constant pain...something new shows up. I guess you can say that it's the example of St. 's " thorn in the side " (in our cases, joints) that keeps us humble? Best regards. Hope the flare up doesn't last too long. Guest guest
, So happy that you are feeling better. And the flu shot. Ain't nothing worse than getting the flu while on treatment. Yeah, I had it happen to me. Yucky. Good deal on getting the anti-depressants. I had my doctor prescribe them at the beginning of treatment. I read the side effects of treatment before my first visit. I went in prepared for bear. I told him, I need this and this and this. LOL I never had to get the procrit, but only got close once. I ate more collard greens. Its a southern thing. LOL and my levels went right up. My daughter also made me a bunch of poke salad and corn bread. More southern thing. But then again I didn't just finish chemotherapy like you have sweety. Is everything going alright with that? Love and hugs to you, Janetraggzcutie@... wrote: Hi, I had my dr. visit today and I did get a Procrit injection, got my chemo port flushed, and got a flu shot. The Dr. said after just recovering from cancer, my bone marrow is not as healthy as other people so it probably started being affected right away. I go back in 2 weeks for bloodwork and another injection. Anyway, I was concerned about blood clots and seizures, but he said I would be fine. I have to say... I don't know if it's the idea of the inj. or how quickly it works, but I feel better! Anyway, I did ask to get on an antidepressent since I seem to be so snappish. I was up and crying at 1:30 am. and my hubby said, "Uhhh... you need to tell your dr. that you are depressed." Anyway, I guess there's no shame in saying... "I need help! I'm acting crazy!" anyway, thanks for being there for me. It is a beautiful day, go out and enjoy it.

Guest guest
During the first surgery, our son Marc had a sheath placed in his left ear to protect his exposed facial nerve....and his surgeon thinks that is the reason for the recent volume of fluid (they pulled nearly 15 cc's out during the 2nd look) to collect in his middle ear and mastoid. The way he explained it was that at times the body " dislikes " that material, and as a response, produces excessive fluid that is inflammatory. Marc's was not infected though, so not sure if this is the same deal. Best of luck to you....
Guest guest
Everyone gets this. Listen to your body and find alternative methods. The medical establishment has done little for me, shamefully I work in this environment daily. If samples are taken the Doc will define DOP, delusions of parasites. Guest guest
Same ole thing... I had a nice shrink at Kaiser tho--he had had an infestation of something but not mites, at least he was kind. He gave me medication to keep the allergic reaction of the mites down so I could sleep. He's been a sweetheart, but rare as far as shrinks go. Guest guest
I must say, my mega irrigation treatments are showing some surprises. I thought I'd never get to the end of the mites, and then, fiber type webs started coming out of my ears and nose with little white dots all over them. I'm going to keep it up, as I hope I am reaching the nests. It's a balancing act though. As I do the ears, they run into the throat. Gargle, they run back to the ear or out to the hair. A bath, continue to alternate cleaning centers, another bath, continue again, etc. IT"S A WAR! Had my first day at work and wasn't bothered. Home now - getting bothered. I knew is was the apartment! I move out next month. Trashing everything I own and starting fresh. From: "Goldstein@..." <Goldstein@...>bird mites Sent: Wed, July 28, 2010 6:21:21 PMSubject: Re: Dr. Visit Same ole thing... Guest guest
Sally Are you doing anything for your scalp, skin? My ears bothered me but i don;t think I could have eradicated them just treating my ears and sinus? What about clothes? I hope it works for you and your new home is free of this awful creature. > > I must say, my mega irrigation treatments are showing some surprises. Guest guest
I never had the option of moving... stuck here. I would have moved if I could have. Once the Morgellons moves in, you have it. But to me if you have birdmites still infesting a home, it might be easier to deal with just the internal mites as opposed to everything attacking from the outside. I could be wrong about that. I know Jess moved to Mexico with her familia--she is still having whatever this is. Jess, could you comment on this? Guest guest
I have been disolving about a cup of epsom salt in a gallon of water. I keep it handy. I will pour some into my hair about 1-2 hours before bath and blow dry. Take a bath in epsom salts, about 5 cups and use nit comb underneath water. After bath, I pour more into my hair and blow dry and go to bed. I have been using bleach, borax, and sun soap for whites, and boiling whatever clothing I can. I heat the oven to 350 degrees and turn off. Then I place a few towels or whatever larger items in oven and leave for 20 minutes. All cleaned clothes go into a lock plastic container.I am getting ready to try Kleen-Free Naturally in my shampoo as suggested by some. We'll see. Guest guest
, I have been using cheap vodka, put in a misting bottle, and hitting any areas that I feel crawling. It seems to stop them in their tracks for a while. I spray a fairly heavy coat on. Vodka can be used as an astringent and also is very inexpensive. One bottle lasts me weeks (if I don't drink it...lol). I also use the organic New Hope II soap with sulphur daily from ESP Botanicals. If you order it, make sure you order the one with sulphur. http://www.espbotanicals.com/strongest_organic_skin_care-new_hope_two.html It is 4 bars for $25.00 including S & H. It is very helpful. Guest guest
Hope this brightens someones day -- SHINGLES ......... Those who spend much time in a doctor's office should appreciate this! Doesn't it seem more and more that physicians are running their practices like an assembly line? Bubba had shingles. Here's what happened to Bubba: Bubba walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had. Bubba said: 'Shingles.' So she wrote down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat. Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aide came out and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, 'Shingles.' So she wrote down his height, weight, a complete medical history and told Bubba to wait in the examining room. A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, 'Shingles..' So the nurse gave Bubba a blood test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, and told Bubba to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor. An hour later the doctor came in and found Bubba sitting patiently in the nude and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, 'Shingles.' The doctor asked, 'Where?' Bubba said, 'Outside on the truck. Where do you want me to unload 'em??'
