Guest guest
Dear Zahra, You can never study enough or be too prepared to take the PTCB or any other test fo r that matter, e4xcept you need a god night's sleep just before the exam! Dora, my moderator has pointed out that this site will become very active closer to the time of the test. This is true. However I ask that you pass the word to your pharmacy employer and perhaps post this site address for technicians. Again please utilize the archives of former questions that were asked for the last 2 years before th e change from Delph to . Study them and then you will feel comfortable in posting your questions. We are here to help you to study. Tell us how long have you been a tech or a pharm student and what stae are you in? Take care Post when you can, Jeanetta Mastron > yes, I took the practice test the first time I logged on the site. I scored 58. Need some serious studying:) > > > --------------------------------- >

Guest guest
Hi Zahra ali- I love my job and hope you will enjoy the pharmacy field as much as I have. You will learn something new everyday---guaranteed! Are you currently enrolled in a pharmacy tech training program? Jeanetta is an instructor in CA and will be able to provide you with much information regarding tech requirements for CA. She's also added some of the CA tech laws under the 'Files' section located on the left side of your screen. Would you please tell me more about your current job? It sounds interesting. Best Wishes, Dora > > I am in California . > > I work as an associate engineer (process/chemical) at an aerospace plant. Guest guest
Dear Zahra Ali I have worked in Antimonial Lead and Lead Batteries, Lead based and non-ferrous based metals as well as ferrous metals, wire, mesh, sheet and nails and have worked with hazardous waste of the said industries especially the Fiber Optic industry ( HF! yuck!), and developed the " Splice of Light Kit " and a specific acrylic coating for American Fiber Optics (no longer in business). My work was both chemical and physical testing and other wise, in-process, raw material testing QA/QC, hazardous waste disposal, safety management, Research and development. At times I miss the lab rat stuff and the interacting with the all male crews! But all in all I have had much more personal growth and fulfillment as an educator. If you are unsatisfied with your work with a higher degree, you are not alone! Tell us more about what you want to do with your pharmacy technician certificate. I am here for your questions! Glad to know that you like the site and feel at home. If I can be of any personal assistance to you do not hesitate to email me at rxjm2002hotmail (DOT) com Respectfully, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Chemistry Founder/Owner of this site. > > I am in California . > > I work as an associate engineer (process/chemical) at an aerospace plant. Guest guest
To all the new members (boy there are lots this time), Welcome. This group is AWESOME!!!! We all have our experiences that hopefully we can all share with you to help with the diagnosis/life of PID. Feel free to ask any question that you may have. Guest guest
A Big Welcome to all the new members. I am very new hear as well. My daughter recently diagnosed Igg deficiency and has received her second infusion IVIG recently. I can relate to what you are all feeling right now. It is a bit overwhelming at first, still is actually, but hang in there because you have come to the right place. I took the advice of this board and contacted the National Immune Def. Foundation. They sent a very informative packet full of great information and a wonderful video explaining PID. It was very very helpful, especially for my husband to read and understand. The support and encouragement I have received from this board is unbelievable. I was at my wits end when I found them, and by the Grace of God am coping much better these days as a result. I find it very difficult to discuss with any one in my family as they have no idea what it is like, and I feel as though sometimes I am burdening them with my woes. Friends are always willing to listen, but again everyone has there own problems and they really do not understand. I was amazed at how truly genuine the concern was when I first posted here. It was so comforting to know that others could not only identify with what I was saying, but could offer helpful constructive suggestions that made my journey so much easier!!!! God Bless all of you, and a great big hug as well. Sharon This forum is open to parents and caregivers of children diagnosed with a Primary Immune Deficiency. Guest guest
Dearest New Members, I too WELCOME you to this site. Please be sure to read all that has been sent to you. I perpared the long letter with you in mind. It would be best if you 'keep' the letter for a while. When you have question as to whether or not this site provides a service or document or link etc. go to that letter it may direct you to an 'area' or a person of this site. There is just too much in that letter for most people to 'get' all at once! Check out a few links and files each day/week as time permits. You will be amazed what is on this site! When you have researched an area as much as you can, then ask your question, we are right here waiting to help you out. Guest guest
Dearest New Members, Allow me to personally welcome you to my site. I am sorry that this is a bit late in the welcoming. I am an instructor and program director and have been going through accreditation. This is much like JACHO inspection. I havae 4 in a row!! Been very busy. But I do hope that you will find time to read all that I have sent you and know that there is much more in the document files that will help you. so before you post a question, check out the files for a tutorial or other discussion tutorial etc that may help you and then when you ask the question it willhelp us to help you better if you have studied beforehand. Please go back in time and read the last years worth of study questions. To do so just scroll up and place the number 1 in the " MSG# box " . It will search for the first posts from last summer. From there you can read and follow any type of question that you like. The link section can lead you to drug lists and data banks, abbreviations etc. More study information etc. Looking forward to your questions. Do not get discouraged, this site does not get too many questions until about 3 to 4 weeks before the exam. At this time people who have been studying and who now have enough information to base their quesions on, will begin to ask them. Also those who are crammers begin asking questions at that time. We do not care nor judge. We just hope that you get some good out of this site. If you get a chance go tothe 'polls' section. there you will see the actual results from people who have used this site. I do hope that you will post a bit about yourself so that we can get to know you. There are many lurking experience d techs just waiting to help you with your questions!
