Guest guest
Abauma,Great question.. are your doctors sincere? Absolutely. Here is the deal. Currently, there is only one standard of treatment to CURE hep c. Peg Interferon and Ribavirin. That is the ONLY thing that will cure hep c at this time. That is also the treatment I was on. The food thing.. that's more to protect your liver from further damage.. it will not stop the hep c. I'm sure you got the whole eat healthy thing right? I ate anything. I still do. Now, I'll be straightforward with you on this.. I am PRO treatment. I am not one to jump into the holistic medicine pool. But that's just me. I have seen too many people spending tons of money on homeopathic remedies thinking it would make their hep c go away. It won't. It will help to contain it but it will not eradicate it. Only treatment with Interferon and Ribavirin will do that. For me, I wanted that damn virus gone. I was also knocking on deaths door by the time I was diagnosed. Now I will not lie to you, the treatment journey can be rough. It's basically chemotherapy. I was sick as a dog for 50 weeks. Not everyone has that same reaction. Each persons walk with treatment is different. I have seen people sail thru treatment and continue with life as usual. I was not that case. I was in BED and I thought I'd have to feel better to die. BUT it worked. That 50 weeks was worth the rest of my life. Medical science has a handle on this virus. Medication can cure you. I am very open about my walk with treatment and my journey with hep c. I will answer ANY question you want to shoot at me. But I will tell you the truth.. the good, the bad and the ugly. I'm glad you're here... You are in a safe place. Everyone on this site is struggling with their journey with hep c. We are all here to help. Hugs,Teri PS... Courage is a good thing... I'm sure you had it in you already! Be strong. We're here.On Fri, Mar 11, 2011 at 2:47 PM, Muhammad Abuzar Ausama <abuama81@...> wrote: Hi teri, thanks for give me courage.nowadays i m waiting for treatment, now i m visiting doctors. i have one question in my mind that is creating doubt for me.Until now i have visited 5 doctors, three alopaths(physicians) and 2 homeopaths.homeopaths and one one physician said keep great care in eating foods.Lot of things they say not to eat at all. but 2 physicians including hepatologist said it is not a matter of avoid foods, u take treatment of p interferon and ribavirin and eat each and everything.so should i take treatment from the doctors who r saying not to avoid foods and eat each and every thing? r these doctors sincere? what your opinion about thisregardsabuama- -- Teri Gottlieb MOVE ON.
