Hi Abuma and Welcome to the group! My name is Teri, I was diagnosed with HCV in 2004.  I went thru treatment in 2005-2006 for 48 weeks and I am now cured.  There is help and hope out there so don't despair.

There are people here on the group in all stages of dealing with their hep c status.  From newly diagnosed like you to in treatment, awaiting treatment, not treating by choice or doctors orders and a few of us that have gone thru treatment, come out on the other side and just helping out and giving hope and pulling others along.

Please tell us about yourself and how you are dealing with this right now...  I know its a shock and not the news you wanted to hear but there is a cure out there and there are new medications coming out in the next few months that will make treatment more effective and in some cases shorter.

Ask any question you'd like..  the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask.  Jump in whenever you are ready.Hugs,TeriOn Fri, Mar 11, 2011 at 10:38 AM, Muhammad Abuzar Ausama <abuama81@...> wrote:

Hi teri, thanks for give me courage.nowadays i m waiting for treatment, now i m visiting doctors.i have one question in my mind that is creating doubt for me.Until now i have visited 5 doctors, three alopaths(physicians) and 2 homeopaths.homeopaths and one one physician said keep great care in eating foods.Lot of things they say not to eat at all.but 2 physicians including hepatologist said it is not a matter of avoid foods, u take treatment of p interferon and ribavirin and eat each and everything.so should i take treatment from the doctors who r saying not to avoid foods and eat each and every thing? r these doctors sincere?what your opinion about thisregardsabuama

Thank you for joining us.

Please say hi so we can all say hi back.

If you feel comfortable sharing a bit about your HCV journey, please do so.

By everyone sharing their experiances, we can all compare notes, and maybe find some answers.
