Hi Don and

This is an EXCELLENT radio interview with Dr Berkson. PLEASE listen to it--do not just read the written interview. The written interview just doesn't give the info in the audio tape.

It gives a LOT of info about his treatment and why he uses it--and his background. It also explains how he uses labs instead of biopsy. He uses platelets (too low) albumin (too low) and prothrombin time (too long) to diagnose liver condition. I will also post an article on albumin following this. That article explains a little about ascitis.

I personally believe that each person should research for him or her self ANY treatment they plan to consider--even if the person recommending is your doctor. We all have opinions--but the opinion that is the one to use AFTER some serious research has been done is your own.

I do agree with Don that giving up is not the best option. I explore, in detail, anything I plan to put into my body or mouth. I'll be 77 in August and doing ok with my long standing Hep C. Although I do recommend Dr Berkson, I believe one should research him and his protocol for themselves and reach their own personal conclusion of whether or not to follow his protocol.
