Sorry, I missed the list of the 5 stages somewhere, and y'all keep referring to them.  Could someone re-post please?Question:  Suddenly my itching, rashes are getting worse, which of course affects my mood and feelings that things were getting better on the ARV's.  Am I wrong in assuming that because I'm itching more, the meds are not working as well as the first month?  Who can tell?  LOL

Rodney,There are 5 stages of grief that apply when there is a catastrophic loss, that loss can be a life, a marriage or your health, even a financial loss. The five stages, in order are:

Denial and IsolationAngerBargainingDepression AcceptanceThey do play out in order, however you can be in more than one stage at once.  You can spend a total of 2 days going thru all 5 stages or 2 years...  There is no set time frame.  But the sooner you work thru them the better.

As far as the itching goes..  I'd take that to mean the meds are working....   I know with the HCV meds, itching and rashes are part of the normal side effects.  You may be dehydrated...  drink lots of water.  You can probably take Benedryl for the itching as well.  I took it constantly during treatment.  It will help you sleep a bit too.

MOVE ON.  It's just a chapter in the past, but don't close the book.  Just turn the page.
