Guest guest
Hi Tommy It does suck to have to pay so much, but it depends on what your worth and your income level. In my case, I am very poor, and disabled, so I live on SSI [670 a month], food stamps, and Medicaid. Granted most of my medical is free, or very cheap, but that also has its drawbacks. - Daily I worry about this program being shut down, and I have nothing. - The stigma. - I can only get generic meds, 2nd rate treatment, or no treatment at all. For example I cannot get physical therapy peroid. Medicaid wont pay for it, and Ive needed it badly for 30 years. Its funny, Medicaid will buy me a 4000 electric wheelchair and pay upkeep, and pay monthy for costly meds/doctors - whereas physical therapy might fix the problem. Go figure. I dont know if you all can use any of this info for financial aid, but you can look. Go to the group LINKS section to folder - 008A - MEDS WITH NO INSURANCE, or click on this link - http://health.dir./group/ /links/MEDS_WITH_NO_INSURANCE_001241471077/ I do like the Obama health care plan, but I dont like the rule - 'you have to buy'. I think it is a step in the right direction otherwise. Too many people do without medical care because they are worth too much, or make too much income, or for any of many other stupid reasons. I think that in the long run, it costs everybody a lot more in the end, not to mention the toll on the patient themselves, and their familys. I know that a lot of people dont agree with good health being a 'right', but I think that it is. If for no other reason than suffering is never a positive thing....for anyone. Just knowing someone is out there, someplace suffering, turns my stomach. Weither its health, food, poverty, jail, war, or anything else. Ok, Im off my soapbox. LOL :-) love don in ks ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I wish we had insurance. We've paid $3000. Just for tests and bloodwork. Now $7000. For biopsy. It SUCKS!!!!!!}*{ Country Girl }*{
