Guest guest
About 2 years ago after 76 or 77 weeks of Interferon/Ribavarin from VA. Was informed I was a non responder and they could/would do no more. Go home like a good boy eat the pretty blue morphine pills and they would do what they could to keep me "comfortable" and in my own home as long as possible. Being the good little feller that I am I immediately thought **** you. The damned bullets and the blood you gave me didn't kill me and I ain't layin down yet. Fast forward to last week. Dr. B informed me no Diabetes, thought that was a major good thing. Then the Other shoe dropped. Liver shows no signs of cirrhosis. Feet quit touching the ground and I kissed all the nurses. Still have my head in the Clouds. And now the "Rest of the Story". The Hep may or may not be curable now, I'm not sharp enough to know. But the part of it can be controlled that is likely to kill us. Either Follow Dr. Berkson or listen to Don. It is not rocket science. IT HURTS, IT SUX, and the LIFESTYLE is crappy for a long while. But DON"T give up. There are thousands of us. Scream, cry, talk or break things instead. Glenn Hope this helps someone feel as happy as I am!
Guest guest
Hi Glenn, That is WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL NEWS !!!!!!!! I remember reading your post about going home to die and sending you all the info I had on Dr Berkson. I, like you, just DON'T believe that giving up is the answer--even if one fails treatment. Of course, because my Hep C is not advanced I chose to skip treatment and just go to Dr Berkson. Besides, I'm really old already. How many times did you go to Las Cruses? I remember your post about dinner in El Paso after your first visit. Thank you so much for sharing. SuziQ > > About 2 years ago after 76 or 77 weeks of Interferon/Ribavarin from VA. Guest guest
This was my third, maybe fourth trip. I truly am becoming a cheerleader for the " Angels in The Garden of Crosses " > > > > About 2 years ago after 76 or 77 weeks of Interferon/Ribavarin from VA. Guest guest
(((((Glenn)))))This is absolutely amazing, I today, was in the garden all mourning, feeling the sunshine and smelling that ocean breeze.Good to be back home. Hang in there buddy, we can make it! heck a nuclear attack has more chances of killing us than the virus.and that is pretty slim chances thus far! There will be a cure for sure i think in another couple of years they r at the brink of this! remember Pharma is in biz to stay in biz.But us average joe can invest by stock in tx's, my friend did back when in the inhibitors n now being released wel~la he is seeing a big pay off, compared to the small investment made back in like phase 1 study. It's a coming. If we stay with the program, live foods, detox, supps, nutrirtion, rest,excercise,ect...we can do it yes we can! look at suzi Q there she is quite living proof. We can all have pudding face! LOL!!! > > About 2 years ago after 76 or 77 weeks of Interferon/Ribavarin from VA. Was > informed I was a non responder and they could/would do no more.
