a little in my reply here-but thanks for posting this mail. It made the hair at the back of my neck stick up! Congrats to Chloe and all of you. Keep well and healthy and send those positive out to the universe at any and every occasion! Denna Poulos

I've always suspected that the reason there is more bad news about ctoma than good news is that once things are going well, people are so busy out enjoying life that they forget to tell everyone their great news! Now I know it's true :)Chloe had a four month post op visit a couple of weeks ago, and after 12 surgeries and some pretty scary moments, she shows no sign of ctama, had a beautiful eardrum, and is hearing at near normal levels in her repaired ear. The hearing aid is put away on a shelf, and she is a plain old normal first grader with an appointment in six months to make sure things are still so good. I would be lying if I said it wasn't still in the back of my mind that this could all come back, but I can't stop it, so we are just going to be glad and enjoy this time. This week, I found out the value of perspective. An acquaintance of mine has a severely handicapped child who requires constant care. They were

told he would need surgery for a tumor in his brain and that the prognosis was not good. When the surgeon went in, he found instead a cholesteatoma which was successfully removed with a much better outcome! When I received an email from a family so happy that their child "only had " a cholesteatoma.. ..I realized their perspective on what I have veiwed as something of a nightmare made it a blessing to them.Blessings to all of you!

Well ladies. I happened to ask last night how she has been feeling.

Obviously you realize we don't have this conversation every day. It is what it

is. So she actually replied. Fine. Good. I asked if her knees or hips have

been hurting and she said her knee every now and then but not too bad! OMG I

think it has been 2+ years since I heard those words! I know I should probably

expect the occassional flare but YIPPEEEE! She is now on 8 MTX pills a week.

Could this be the answer? Does the body adjust to the pills and we will need to

change our protocal? I wish I knew how this worked!

Well my hubby, Danny, went to dr. Today and we got some good news. Viral load is

just above normal. He is genotype 3 with an 80% success rate after treatment.

Yay for us!!! Doc said he is waiting until after August when the new drug comes

out to start treatment. Guess all the vitamins and homeopaths regimen is

working. Hope everyone is well. Just wanted to toot our horn. Toot! Toot!

Right now he is doing vit D, milk thistle, selenium and lipoid acid. I have cut

his read meat down to almost none, but he still gets an occasional steak. Cut

put salt. I am using Benson's Table Tasty. It is the best seasoning ever. It has

no salt or potassium. Bensonsgourmetseasonings.com. They have all different

types of seasonings. Takes awhile to ship, but worth the wait. Other than that,

I can't think of anything else. We just found out 2 months ago he had it and I

did so much research my brain still hurts. LOL. I am his advocate. Together we

will beat this. We have been together 10yrs now and expect at least 100

more!!!!! We will have this cured. It will not beat us. My husband is my life

and I'm not settling for anything less than CURED!!!!!!!

Is 's Solution available commercially, or do you prepare it yourself?Burke

samters From: crusher75060@...Date: Thu, 29 Sep 2011 06:56:59 -0700Subject: Good news

Just a side note on my progress:

I had the polyp removal surgery in April (number 11 for me) and it is now almost 6 months later. I had a checkup last week and the doctor says there are signs of the polyps, but no real regrowth. Typically I begin to be blocked after 6 months, I struggle for the next 6 or 8 with prednisone and steroid injections and then have another surgery. However this time it seems the growth is much slower. In my opinion, here is the reason.

I started using 's solution right after the surgery. I put about 2 tablespoons of it up my nose with my head hanging over the side of the bed (very creepy) and stayed there for 2 minutes. After about 3 weeks of that I did notice that it at least felt soothing. Didn't really notice any real relief but it felt good. That hanging upside down was difficult so I had an idea to make things a little easier for me. I bought a 4 oz bottle of saline (with sprayer for keeping the nose wet in Texas dry season) and replaced the saline with 's. I use it about 3 or 4 times a day since it is so easy. I just aim it just right and I can feel it hit the back of the nasal cavity. So far, it feels good and it seems to be helping prevent the regrowth.

And as a side bonus for me at least, it seems to be helping my allergies. In Texas, it is ragweed season. Typically I'm on antihistamines and usually prednisone to make it through. However this time I'm getting very little congestion, almost no runny nose and very little sneezing. I believe it is because using the 's more frequently is keeping the bio-film down, is helping prevent any bacteria from growing and is keeping the tissue from swelling. I'm going to continue the use and see how things go. So far no bleeding from the steroid in the solution and no tenderness in the face. Awesome !!!

's solution is something my doctor ordered from a compounding pharmacy. It is saline, gentamycin (antibiotic) Budesonide (steroid) and of all things Baby shampoo. I know, sounds weird. But the mild detergent helps wash away the bio-film. Ask your doctor about it. If he doesn't know what it is, I can get you info from my doctor. He would be more than happy to fax the info to your doctor with his permission.
