Guest guest
Hi Genotype has nothing to do with a liver biopsy. Only the stage 4 does. A liver biopsy is how they determine what stage you are at. The Fibrosure stiffness test comes close, but I have read that it is not as good as having an actual sample of the liver under a microscope to look at. One reason for this is that a person may have a lot of inflamtion, thus a stiffer liver from the swelling. This can give a false reading. My liver-doc refuses to give me the Fibrosure test. She demands a liver biopsy, so that she knows 'for sure'. love don in ks ------------------------------------------------ Hi Don, I am most ikely wrong the biosey is the only way to know the stage, such as I am genotype 1a/stage 4. They told me they can'r fond out the stage with one. is this correct, just cirious Hugs♥ ny
