Guest guest
Don, no I use very little oil, don't fry things, maybe a little sautee for fish, but mostly boil it, maybe a little for chicken, but mostly boil it. but I use a teeny for frying an egg, or pancakes. Maybe I should buy a little butter for that, which I never use. Generally I use very little, but if you want something, what? Obviously for Italian, olive oil. And I keep the temp as low as possible as they say that cooking over high heat not only destroys enzymes but also causes the formation of free radicals, I think? Too much info to remember! For soups I generally don't use any oil, and to warm up something, just a little water in the pan. So maybe all is not lost. I over-react? LOL. Guest guest
> > I'm sure I'm being redundant, but right now I can't search the messages to see. I have done nothing yet, other than add a teaspoon of coconut oil a day to my diet. I have a severe headache, sore throat, fatigue and my right side is making weird gurgling, rumbling noises constantly and is feeling inflamed. Is this normal with the coconut oil? How long will this last? Anything I can do to minimize the reaction? Should I have started to add other supplements first? I have a hard time with many supplements, so I decided to add the coconut oil first. Thanks for any help and simple explanation. Thanks...Sara > +++Hi Sara, Welcome to our group. Coconut oil is a healing food that benefits your body in so many ways, so it will help your body heal and detoxify itself. When your body heals and detoxifies it creates many of the symptoms and reactions you describe because that is how your body works, i.e. does its job. All disease processes are exactly the same as healing and detoxifying processes created by the body itself in an effort to maintain its health, in spite of poor nutrition, toxins, etc. However, the medical industry labels each and every " sign " of poor health as separate dis-eases, illnesses, symptoms, syndromes, etc. which are actually normal body reactions and processes. In other words, they are simply " signs " the body is attempting to restore its own balance. As Florence Nightengale, the famous nurse, says: " There are no specific diseases; there are [only] specific disease conditions. " People on this healthy program are giving their bodies what they need to become healthy, so they are now able to progress towards health rather than become more and more unhealthy, or dis-eased. The diet is most important Sara, along with the supplements, that provide all of the nutrients your body needs in order for your body to heal itself, so coconut oil alone isn't going to help you. Guest guest
Hi Barb, Coconut oil will be hard and white when the temperature is cool, but it will liquify if your house is warm. That's a normal feature of coconut oil, so nothing to be concerned about. Coconut oil doesn't require refrigeration. Keeping it in the fridge would make it really hard to get out of the jar. It's just fine to leave it on the countertop. It will keep like that for two years without going bad.
