Telaprevir and children?

Has anyone heard anything about use of telaprevir with children...trials, other

countries, anything????

Ive been watching for mention of Telaprevir in treating children.

I havent found much yet, so probably the clinical trials were mainly for adults.

I have found some stuff on children responding pretty good to just the Interferon and Ribavirin treatment.

I have also found mention of shortened treatment time, and things like increased chance of rashes and anemia using Telaprevir.

I have found articles that suggest waiting on treatment until the child is an adult, since children dont seem to progress to liver cirrhosis as fast as an adult.

This is probably a question to ask your childs doctor, as they would have access to medical reports that arent available yet on the internet.

I wish that I could give you conclusive info on this topic.
