Guest guest
Hi Butch There are supposed to be a few holy people who live high up in caves in the Himalaya mountains, who do not eat food. They are called 'breath-terrians' because their only nutrition comes from sunlight [photosynthesis], rain, and air. I do not remember the exact name of this particular religious sect. In the early 1970's, I read a book called - 'The Third Eye', by T. Lobsang Rampa, where this phenomenon was mentioned. T. Lobsang Rampa was preordained to be a Tibetan Hindu priest, and went as a child into a Monastery to begin his study - [he says]. Later he wrote several books, 'The Third Eye' being his first one [i think]. http://www.amazon.com/Third-Eye-T-Lobsang-Rampa/dp/0345340388 This is interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lobsang_Rampa I had been raised up a Southern Baptist, but was always uncomfortable with the limitations imposed on me by this dogma. My Dad worked for the CIA, and his cover [and public job] was being a preacher/missionary. After living in the Far East, in the 1960's as a hippy teen [musician/druggie], I began to study different religious philosophys, and still do. I also felt that it wasnt quite right that I had to eat other living things to sustain my own life. I still question this logic because there are mentions in the Christian Bible about the Israelites eating 'Manna' while wondering in the desert during the Exodus. And also the stories about Adam and Eve who only ate fruits. Neither group ever had to use the bathroom - the food was 100% absorbed by their bodies. Now with HCV, I am even more interested in diet, and search for the ultimate 'life friendly' human diet. I do not adhere to either the concept of 'breath-terrian', or poopless foodstuffs, because I have no proof either thing is truely possible. But I have a personal belief that - 'if one can think of something, it must exist, someplace, someway, because as humans, we cannot think of something that does not exist'. Thus I cannot quite let it go, but I dont dwell on it either. Anyways, that is what a 'breath-terrian' is. I have done internet searches for 'breath-terrian', and have found nothing. The closest I have gotten is fasting for various amounts of time. love don in ks From: butchholland2002 <butchholland2002@...>Subject: [ ] Re: VIDEO - breathterrian Date: Tuesday, April 26, 2011, 10:06 AM Hey Don what's a breathterrian, heck I may wanna be one too.On the virus thing I think Humans are just one big walkin, talkin virus. Guest guest
It's actually "breatharian" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inedia I'm not so familiar with the Indian manifestations of breatharianism. But there was a great scandal in the American breatharian group, where the movement collapsed after their leader (who clamied to be able to survive solely on air and water) was spotted running into an AM/PM for some hot dogs.
