Guest guest
Hi Debbie I personally think that the Telaprevir is the better of the two Protease Inhibitors. Boceprevir seems to have a nasty side effect called major Anemia. I dont know yet if that holds true for the Telaprevir also, but I hope not. Gloria did the VX222 clinical trial, and she cleared with no problems. If my doctor will give me the green light, that is the PI that I would want to use. is going to re-join the group [she said], and I think that she has the Telaprevir in mind also. She has the same Gastro that I do, so we will see what happens. We all might be going through treatment together. Wont that be fun.......not. LOL :-) Debbie, your not alone in feeling nervous. The thought of being on treatment is enough to scare anyone. I wish that we didnt have to go through such an extensive and long treatment. I want that one pill, one time, cure. Wish in one hand, don. LOL :-) But after the first few weeks, you will know what to expect pretty much, and it will become routine. Then its just a matter of waiting it out until its all over with. I want you to remember that we will all be right here for you, every step of the way. I have bunches of treatment info just waiting for anyone who needs it, and Im collecting more all the time. And hopefully those on treatment now will be available to you too for support and info. You will do just fine on treatment though, and hopefully will be able to put this part of your life behind you one of these days. I am always here if you need me - just hollar. love don in ks ------------------------------------------------------------ Hi Don,I'm getting ready to start treatment when the telaprevir is approved. I'm a bit nervous about starting but I feel well armed with all the knowledge i've learned over the past 3 yrs. since finding out I have HCV.*Debbie
