I am very sad to report that I have shut down my website effective July 19, 2003. When I began with Homestead, websites were free. The first year they charged "charter" members only paid $20. Last year it went up to $70, and now they want $84. I can no longer justify spending that kind of money when my disability income does not cover my own expenses.

I have posted many of the studies on SalineInfo (under "files"), and will continue to search for an adequate (free) web host for the group. Last I counted, there were over 100 pages on the site. It will be quite a task.

I am still here, and will continue to be. Please write to me personally anytime the need arises, and please don't hesitate to give my name and email address to new women. (Eileen Swanson - sosalines@...)

As of Friday 7/18, total hits on Survivors of Salines homepage was 17,717, including the count from the AOL site where we first started with just 6 pages. Our battle is far from over, both personally and as an issue. I'm sure you have all heard how many hundreds of thousands of women have received saline implants in the last 2 years. It's obscene, and it will continue and probably get worse. We have to hang in there!

Love,

Eileen

Eileen,

Of course, I am much saddened by this news, and have hopes that you will one day be able to put your website up again with all the very valuable information that you have posted. I chose to post a few of the items you had on your site here in our links section and I very much appreciate your efforts to help all the harmed women out there. Your resource has been invaluable.

Are those charges a monthly charge? As I have never had a webpage, I have no idea how it works. You are way ahead of me in that department!

Eileen, I hope you will continue to be active on our group as well, and I pray for your continued healing, and your strength and resolve to help victims of implants, and God's blessings upon your life.

Take care, and thanks so much for sharing with us your sad news.

Patty
