Rita,

There is one thing that you may have to consider--the fact that your implants may in reality be silicone gel instead of the saline you thought you had. This is not unheard of, especially in implants that were placed many years ago. I've heard of a number of women who thought they had saline, only to find out upon explant that they really had silicone gel. Plastic surgeons think we are dumb. I mean, who is really going to know anyway? Especially if the implants really did last a lifetime as they claimed back then, they sometimes did a switcheroo, either to use up old stock, or for whatever reason. All I know is that saline implants almost never feel soft or normal to the touch. That more natural feeling only comes from silicone gel, and if they are ruptured, you would not really know it. On the other hand, if saline implants leak, even slowly over time, you will definitely have a deflated breast. If you had your original records it may be easier to know for sure, but I think you told us you have no idea where those are or how to get them.

Just something to think about. In any case, if you go to Dr Feng and it is discovered that you really do have silicone gel, she is expert in cleaning up the mess of ruptured implants and getting out as much loose silicone as is humanly possible. This is one thing I don't think she is careless about.

Thank you, , this is pretty much what I figured, but I am so new to this, it helps a lot to hear it from you. I had found on a post or website that the ribs would probably have to be scraped, what I could not find out is if the muscle itself will be damaged. My implants were hard, but at some point when I got SO very sick, my body stopped attacking them and started attacking my nerves all over my body...the burning and numbness I have spoken of. Now my breats are soft and they really fell normal to the touch, like real breasts through and through, but boy do they HURT. They have always hurt, and they are worse the past few months as I can tell that the shell is degrading and getting thinner. said it would not take anything for them to rupture. Thanks ...God bless,Rita

Lena,

Did they feel soft like natural breasts?

My breasts eventually felt soft too- it was almost like overnight they changed. During surgery they found that the capsules were "quite adhered" to the chest wall and they had to scrape and burn out tissue like you're describing- mine were also under the muscle.

Patty,

Hi. Yes, they really did. They even looked kind of real. My husband

did't know until I told him- maybe he's totally dense. :P

Men are kind of silly, I was with one guy in Ca and he knew right

away that my breasts were very firm, he thought it was cause I lifted

weights can you imagine being that stupid? HA HA. Men don't know much

about womens bodies unless we tell them, I am not surprised at all by

this. I mean this guy talked all the time about my firm breasts but

never asked me once if they were fake, and he new me before implants

and he even said to me " are you doing more push ups or what " ? after

my surgery ha never new till I told him, he was actually shocked. I

don't know I was with a few guys when i had them and they all were

basically naive about it. I mean they probably aren't anymore after

me but I told them all, there were probably 4 or 5 guys I got

intimate with, not that I was being a slut but I was going through a

bad time in my life very lonely. Anyhow everytime I told them they

seemed surprised. Who knows. I told my hubby right away and he just

said he thought those things were just for a guy to appreciate and

not question, till I told him I was sick, then he felt totally

different about it all. Anyhow that was my own experience with

implants and men and my boobs were firm to me there is no way they

felt anything close to real breasts and I had big boobs when I was

heavy so I know what they feel like. I always wonder when women with

saline implants say they feel really soft how they could possibly but

they say that. Mine were not though.

was never single with them and never had to fact that situation. I

guess for one, I would want to know if that made a difference to the

guy, and two, I would want to know how he felt about it if I was

planning on having his children. Maybe some guys don't want the

mothers of their kids to have changed their body in a way that could

be potentially harmful to the child? And there's always the chance

of having things go wrong like rupture, leak, etc., that has to be

dealt with. I figure it is best to be up front rather than spring

the suprise on him down the road. Anyway, just my thoughts on this

subject. Like I said, I am always suprised when I hear they didn't

know!

the phone and mentioned her breast implants, he said, no, she never

had breast implants...I was totally shocked. I think he was too! I

felt horrible that I just dropped this secret into his lap, but I had

no idea she had kept it from him. She had died of lung cancer...that

is another whole sad story. I just couldn't believe she had kept it

from him, her soulmate! Incredible.
