Guest guest
Hi there J. I have my N22 implant back in 1990 so am a bit on the ancient side. Hoping the 3G for the 22 would be out soon however, seems it will be much later this year. Had hoped to get some help from the HMO/Medicare. right now things do not look too bright. I had been president of our local chapter for 12 years and just stepped down this year in March. Still helping in the transition though. Know what? My Dad told me eons ago that I was the first here in the USA. However, I doubt that pretty much. smiles, B. from MO.
Guest guest
, I can tell you that this issue of being flattened out from the implants and not looking like you did before is a common concern, and I can hopefully allay your fears about it. If my experience is a good indication of what occurs, then you will have as much breast tissue as you did before. I certainly do, and I had huge implants (450 cc overfilled to 500cc). I really was all implant with hardly any tissue there. My implants were under the muscle.....I don't know how much smooshing occurs, but I do know they were very firm, unnaturally so. However, after explant and lift, my breasts have the same amount of tissue as they did before, and they are perkier. I don't think I am smaller, as evidenced by my measurement, (which is the same as pre-implant) and they feel very soft and natural. I really have not met very many women that I can even recall in my 5 years in this issue that have complained of being with less tissue after explant. Of course, in the worst cases of silicone gel rupture, a number of them lost their whole breasts. But with saline, I really don't think tissue loss is a concern. The implant and scar tissue will be removed, but not breast tissue, and the breast tissue that is there, if it was smooshed at all won't take long to fluff back out. I really don't think you need to fear being smaller than your pre-implant size. The fear of ruining your body forever is only justified because of the scars--those you will be left with, but if you use a skilled plastic surgeon, they won't be much larger than your implanting scars. Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: robert quigle Sent: Wednesday, July 30, 2003 9:53 PM Subject: to from , Thank you so much for emailing a response back to me about the burning issue. I have not been explanted. I do not have any other symptom besides burning. I guess I have been trying to figure out if this is what is causing it. I have been tested for everything and the doctors can't find anything wrong with me. I had some other issues about 2 years ago with numbness and pain but they went away and I have had burning for a year and a half. I have just recently discovered that it may be my implants! I am scared and worried sick about the surgery. I am scared of what I will look like when the implants are out. I know my health comes first but I am still scared. I was a small "B" and I went up to a "D". I am worried if I will have any breast tissue left or if it will all be flattened out. How was your outcome? Were you flat at first? Did your breast ti ssue slowly expand back out? It is not going back to the size that I was before that scares me. It is being flatter because of the implants! Did you have to have a lift? Were your implants above or below the muscle? I know this is a lot of questions but all of these things are on my mind. Also, I am concerned about the burning not going away. I hope I have not ruined my body forever. If you can answer any of my questions I will be truly grateful!! Thanks, (quigle77@...)
