Guest guest
Do symptoms always return after explant? Did anyone just get better after explant? I am planning on explant in Sept. and it seems as if people never fully recover. I am concerned because I just want to get better. I cant stand the fatigue , leg and hip pains and the weird head and eye feeling I am experiencing. Barbara
Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I think almost everyone experiences a certain measure of recovery, and it varies widely. Some heal quickly, some take years, some see great improvements, some see gradual improvement over time. I wish I could say that we all recover completely 100%, but that is really not the case, though some women have recovered probably 95% or more. is one great example of that. I have recovered greatly as well, although I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, an autoimmune thyroid disease one year ago. Otherwise I felt greatly recovered in the last year. However, as you may realize, with autoimmune disease there are flares that will come and go and they bring back unpleasant reminders of what we have endured. I am sure that you will feel great relief after your explant, provided it is done correctly and with a total capsulectomy--this is most important, so please discuss this with your doctor FULLY. Make sure you get a firm commitment by the doctor that a total scar tissue removal will be completed, no compromise on this. I believe you will begin to feel much better regarding your annoying symptoms, after beginning to detoxify and heal your body from the effects of having had implants. Stay positive, and keep us informed of your surgery outcome. Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: BARBY4271@... Guest guest
Barbara I think that most of us do get better after explant, but it takes time so don't be impatient although that is easier said than done! I know for me it took along time to get back to my old self and yeah I have some residual issues, some of them I think are more mental than physical though. It is like all that the implant illness did to me mentally has changed me, in some ways for the better, some not so good. I guess I was angry for along time, ya know, the why me syndrome. I try not to be like that but it can be so hard! Anyhow the physical stuff does go away, I do believe allot of it has to do with how long we have our implants, the type, the illnesses we aquired during that time, who our explant Dr is and how they performed that surgery etc! So hang in there, either way you look at it, your going to find some relief by getting the time bombs out! HUgs In , BARBY4271@A... wrote: > Do symptoms always return after explant?
