Yes, it could. I am not sure HOW significant, but nevertheless, I buy almost all of my personal care products at the health food store, and definitely look for those "methicone' words in the label, and avoid them if possible.

IMHO, this is an important article . . . I've long thought that the reason women experience more autoimmune disease than men was related to greater exposure through personal care products and chemicals used in house cleaning.

This article could be part of the answer.
