But I understand they are made of silicone. I suffered yrs with dry eyes and the yr before I had my implants removed, it got so bad (i thought it was spring allergic reactions). My cornea in one eye was injured. Developed staph infection in both eyes. Resulted in an erosion/ulcer. Nearly had to have a cornea transplant. It was aggressively treated by a cornea specialist.
