My implants are above my muscle and I have never thought about it affecting my breast tissue? Could silicon particles get in my breast tissue? How would it be removed? Would my breast tissue have to be removed? Someone please help. I am freaking out!!!!!

Teri,

I am not sure if there is anything much you can do beyond the obvious, which is to get the implants removed by a caring, compassionate surgeon. Forget dealing with these jerk doctors who only want to take your money and keep reimplanting you. I am actually continually amazed when I hear reports of what women go through with breast implant surgeons. I've been doing this over 5 years and I am still shaking my head!

You've certainly been through an ordeal, but I think it happens to many more women than will admit.

Saline implants do rupture. They do leak. Capsular contracture happens. Alot. Implants shift. They sit high, they sit low. They get painful. They harden. They get infected. And they can make you sick.

As the saying goes, "kaka pasa".

Let us know if you find a good surgeon to take them out for you. You do have some available to you.

Patty

Subject: ROGENE--ANYONE PLEASE HELP!

Rogene and friends,I have found some more information on my operative consent and I am going out of my mind on what it means and what I should do. Please help me and tell me what you think or what I need to do!I had emailed my story yesterday and Rogene and told my what needed to be done. I did not get any paperwork from my orginal BA nor did I get a card. I got out my operative consent form from last year when my implant had completely deflated and read it. Really read what it said. Really what it DIDN'T SAY! I don't know if all docters have to use to the same form but where it says my condition, it states removal of deflate implant imp(I don't know what that means) and replace with new implant. The where it says risks and hazards with aethet, allergic reactions and so forth it says"see op consent for saline implants signed and dated today". Why would it say that if I already had saline implants? Am I looking to much into it? Because on my last reop which was 2 weeks ago, says even more things I have know idea means and some of his writing I can not firgure out but for the most part I can figure it out--It says were it states my condition-- capsul olomis or something like that then says, removal of part deflate, cant figure out next word, implants & replacement with new smooth saline implants. Where it states risks and hazards with aeth, allergic reactios and etc, it states, "symmetry infection ripple calcification bruising scar, hemotma swelling hard, cant figure out next word, implant, cant figure out next word, something nipple sensation? not sure of that. With this 2nd replacement it doesn't say "consent for saline implants signed and dated today" like my first reop it states "replacement with new smooth saline implants. My fear is my reop from last year, doesn't say, replace with(what I thought I had in the very beginning)textured saline implant, it just says new implant and then it says down further with risks and so forth, see op consent for saline implants signed and dated today. I am very, very scared with what I fear has been done or not done. My very first consultation he had called my uneven breasts something(docter language I could not understand)and that I could maybe get my insurance to pay under a reconstruction surgery but it would take time to go thru insurance and I said No, because I was ready to do it now. When my right implant deflated last year, they pushed very very hard for me to participate in this study, and I said ABSOLUTELY NOT, he and he replaced my implant with a Mentor textured because that is what the ID card said that I got AFTER he replaced deflated right implant. But the card never said if it was the right or left. The only reason I thought I had a Mentor Textured implant from the start was because that is what my card said from the replacement. I NEVER GOT A CARD THE FIRST TIME. When I went in this last time to talk about why he put in textured instead of smooth the very first time, he didn't say any different. When I asked him why he didn't take my other implant out last year and replace when he replaced the second one, he said because the trauma of replacing both implants at that time when he wasn't sure if that is what was needed. My left breast had scar tissure(Cc) he knew I had to replace it, but he didn't. I asked him why my breasts didnt look the same after he took out the CC(a separate reop a month after he replaced my implant because of the uneven size) THIS STILL DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM OF MY UNEVEN BREASTS I go back to see if we can even the breasts up by adding my saline. THIS IS WHEN AGAIN THE PUSH ME ON THIS MENTOR SILICONE STUDY, I tell them no, and to please never mention silicone to me again. Time goes by like I said, and I have a part deflate on my left breast and I know something is going on with my right(it started to swell and got real weird looking, which I know now is infection, etc.) When I call the docters office, once again his assistant mentions this Mentor Silicone Study and that she will not mention again but asked why I was so dead set against. Because it is very bad. End of story. I asked her why I would have trouble so soon after replacing the right and said it must have a high deflation rate, and she said something so very strange, she said, Well, not with the one we replaced it with. What does that mean and what kind of implants did I have in the first place? Nothing is making sense!THIS IS THE VERY SCARY PART-I go in 2 weeks ago for the consultation and I ask again why he didn't replace left and he said to me that just a CC would not have paid for the surgery and sometimes you don't want Mentor to know what is wrong because they don't pay for everything and I told him that Mentor sends a pair and that with a deflation you can also fix the the other one at the same time, he then says well, it would not made a difference with what is going on with me anyway because the right implant has something wrong with it and I told him that I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE IMPLANTS and he changed the subject to replacing with smooth.I go in for my surgery and they tell me that Mentor sent them papers, that they never had seen before(MORE AND MORE LIES) and they want to see what happened to my implants and they will send me a report on what was wrong with implants. The day before he DOESN'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE IMPLANTS OR FOR MENTOR TO KNOW AND THE NEXT DAY I HAVE PAPERS TO SIGN FOR MENTOR AND NOW HE WANTS TO KNOW So I had to sign a release form to give them my implants. She made it sound like that is why they are paying for the implants and I really believed they wanted to know what was going on. I didn't think they were mine to keep anyway, since LAST YEAR when my right implant had deflated, I didn't sign anything and I didn't get my implant because I didn't know I had a right to my implants. I don't know if I had defective implants from the beginning or they were silicone or if I had 2 different kind of implants and that is why they looked different but something isn't right. I NEVER SIGNED A CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MENTOR SILICONE STUDY I know this is just crazy for this to happen to a 35 year old professional woman but it did and I can't believe NOW WITH EVERYTHING I KNOW what I have done to myself? Please tell me what I need to do or what your thoughts besides ME BEING VERY IGNORANT AND NAIVE TO ALL OF THIS, which trust me, I am well aware of that now! I know this is alot of info to understand but please make me understand what is going on!Teri
