Just wondered, because I get tense very easily - and know this can be linked to

blocks in the liver and gallbladder energy meridians.

Plus of course the actual physical sludge blocking the organs.

Thanks anne

Hi Anne,

That is a valid point. The liver controls the uninhibited spreading of qi to

every part of the body. If the liver is not able to maintain the free and smooth

flow of qi throughtout the body, multiple physical and emotional symptoms can

develop. This function of the liver is most easily damaged by emotional causes

and, in particular, by anger and frustration. For example, if the liver is

stresses due to pent-up anger, the flow of liver qi can become depressed or

stagnate.

Your liver meridian peaks between 1-3am and troughs between 1-3pm. Which

means, your symptoms will be more pronouced around those times. Example, waking

up between 1-3am and not being able to go back to sleep or waking up with a pain

or headaches around that time. Or feeling weak with certain symtoms around 1-3pm

everyday.

Check the times when things happen and that will give you clues.

Anger damages the liver. Thus emotions related to the stagnation of qi in the

liver are frustration, anger, and rage.
