This is interesting, because the reference you gave seems to say just the

opposite, and I quote:

>Most fruits and vegetable are alkalizing, but there are some exceptions:

>ACIDIC FRUITS: any preserved, canned or jellied fruits, dried sulphured

Check out thi site: http://www.mrbean.net.au/~wlast/calcium.html

" Sensitive individuals easily become overacid when eating fruits or

drinking fruit juices. This happens especially with oranges or tomatoes or

any other acid fruits. "

On the other hand, check out this

site: http://www.meridianinstitute.com/news3-1.htm

" Edgar Cayce consistently emphasized the importance of maintaining a proper

acid/alkaline balance in the body. . . . . Although eating fruit to

increase alkalinity may seem to be a contradiction because some fruits

(especially citrus) are acidic outside the body, digestion uses up their

acidic components, leaving an alkaline residue (ash). Thus the net effect

is alkaline-producing within the system. "
