High cholestral counts can " sometimes " indicated a fatty liver...and from I have been able to find out in alternative thinking....heart disease and fatty livers go hand in hand...though not always the other way around. An elevated whiteblood count could indicate an infection...or that your body is attempting to fight of something it considera as harmful to the body. My UA's, when I came in with pain in th GB area, kept boucing back and forth with slightly elevated lykocytes (Sp)...which are white blood that have died off and are being flushed by the UA system. My Dr. misthought I had UA infection...but treatment failed to change the UA results. She immediatly > thought it was gallbladder diesease and had an upper g.i and an > abdomonal ultrasound done.but to my dismay the results were normal. I too had an ultrasound that came back normal...meaning no " hardened " stones that could " easily " be seen. Soft stones frequently will not show up on these kinds of test. The only thing that might show is an enlarged GB or an VERY progressed fatty liver. > I have been gaining weight rapidly and i am at a peak high of 195 on > my petite 5ft2 frame.... i am usually a size 8 but now i am a size > 18.I have had mild pains in the upper right part of my abdomonen but > they seem to go away after a few minutes.I am tired and fatigued all > day.And nothing seems to be helping the heartburn...... Sounds familiar...I was doing everything I was told...even did a marathon and worked with dieticians and trainers...and still I gained weight, got sicker, and more and more fustrated. Being a life long vegetarian, I even started to wonder if it was because of that, and considered trying to (ugh) add some meat into my diet. (Hearing about that Atkins Diet and Blood Type diet (an O type here) started me doubting that conviction :~) and i am > chronically constipated. This a common symptom from having a sluggish liver....that or food moving through too fast and being poorly digested. Not enough bile and digestive juices are being produced to properly digest the foods eaten. As Americans, we have a tendency to avoid eating enough bile stimulting foods (bitters) in the diet. It is also a common problem from eating too much cooked or dehydrted foods. When constipated, not having enough fluids in the diet, can cause your body to suck what it needs elsewhere for your digestive track....causing it to slow down and then compound the problem by increasing symptoms of ill health from reabsorbtion of what your body has determined is waste to be expelled. I am soo frustrated and i am at my wits end > with what it could be..does anyone know what this problem may sound > like?could I still have gallbladder disease and my tests results be > normal? Yes, much of what you are saying sounds familiar. The flushes proved to me I had a sluggish and backed up liver and gallbladder. With 8 flushes (actually 12...because 4 of the first flushes had to be done 2 nights in a row to get my GB to respond). With those, my pain levels were reduced significantly and I lost 25 pounds...without any changes to my diet or activity levels. With changes to my diet (about 95% raw now), random flushes when my body tells me I might need one...I have continued to slowly loose weight, have no pain (as long as I don't eat the foods I now think caused the problem in the first place), have few of the signs of the other health concerns that used to bother me...and I have been told that I look much more radiant, younger, and healthier. I am constantly getting compliments now on how healthy my skin and hair looks...especially right after I do a flush :~) All that oil is good for multiple things.
