Guest guest
Eliza, I would agree with the advice that and others gave you. Every flush is different and you never really know when you'll get sick(throw up) or you'll feel great. On several occasions I ended up throwing up after I had done quite a few flushes already and I didn't expect it to happen at all. And your first flush was certainly better than my first couple, for sure! On my second flush I felt so bad and my heart was beating so rapidly--soon I threw up over and over again. But it does get better and easier over time if you keep with it and be kind to yourself. based on my experience, I can give you a few tips for not having that sick feeling: --Drink plent of water early on but no water 2 hours before the flush. Try to do you last epsom salts 2 hours prior to drinking the oil so that it has time to leave your stomach. --Although almost every version of this procedure recommends drinking the oil around 10pm when the gallbladder meridian is at its peak, I have played around with all different times and found the early afternoon works best for me. Your digestion is much stronger at this time and you have time to process the oil and pass the stones before you go to bed, so your sleep is not messed up. The times where I did the flush very late, I didn't sleep well, felt horrible in the morning and took virtually the entire next day to pass all of the stones out. I have spoken to Dr. Jubb about the timing before and he recommends doing it in the afternoon also--it seems to be just as effective, if not more, and is also more pleasant overall. --Another advantage of doing it in the afternoon is that you have time to do some auxiliary measures that are quite helpful, like taking enzymes, doing a castor oil pack or a coffee enema. If you just drink the oil and go to sleep then it's not really easy to do any of these things. -- gave excellent advice about trying to wait out the feeling of having to throw up--although I understand that sometimes it is just too strong. I was lucky enough on the times that I did get sick, that it happened typically 3-4 hours after I drank the oil. If you can at least go this long without throwing up, most of the stones will already have made it into you intestinal tract and losing the oil won't really matter. --The best thing to prevent nausea later on in the evening is enzymes and I highly recommend them. I usually begin taking them 3-4 hours after the oil and feel so much better very quickly. Choose either a pure lipase or one that is very high in lipase to break down the oil effectively. --Understand that this whole process is like riding a roller coaster with lots of highs and lows. There will be moments where you feel absolutely amazing and others where you feel totally horrible. Understanding this helps to get through the awful feelings with more grace and detachment. --Lastly, the most important thing I can recommend sounds kind of new agey but has helped me so much you wouldn't believe it. It is to put yourself and your energy in harmony with the oil RIGHT BEFORE YOU DRINK IT. Most of the times I got sick or had bad nausea were when I drank the oil as quickly as possible, while cursing it all the way down. But when you have this mindset, it's easy to understand how your body might interpret the oil as poison and violently expel it the first chance it gets. What I usually do is hold each cup of the juice and oil in each hand and try to feel my energy harmonizing with the frequency of the oil and juice. I imagine myself in the future--happy, healthy and in love with life--and I see the oil in my hands as playing a very important role in getting me that place. I thank the oil for helping me to reach my goals and helping to eliminate materials in my body that are not in line with who I really am. When I am totally at peace with the oil, then I begin to gently sip each cup until my body tells me to stop. Sometimes your body will give you signals that it wants more or less than what you had prepared and it's good to listen to it. Anyway, this sounds crazy but it is more powerful that you can imagine--most people drink the oil with feelings of discomfort and resentment and it has an effect. I believe the ones who succeed in this long-term are those who really come to enjoy and appreciate this procedure and the many benefits it has to offer. With all that said, I think you did a gret job for your first one and I would encourage you to keep at it. I read a quote just the other day that said, " Anything that's worth trying once is worth trying at least ten times " and I think it's very fitting for flushing. Over time you will become cleaner and more professional in the process and it will very easy and enjoyable--just like going into the sauna or some other form of therapy. Good luck!
