Guest guest
<<Personally, I get constipated if I eat meat but I am also a type A>> i also get very constipated when i eat meat. severely so. unless i have a sufficient quantity of fats to accompany it. but it's important to know what is the cause and what is actually happening there is a huge difference between thinking that the food itself is causing the constipation, and realizing that it is a cleansing reaction. we could draw an analogy to the liver flushes where some people claim that that the stones are caused by oil, and not realize that there is a cleansing reaction going on. i'm not trying to convince you to eat meat or anything, but here's how it works. when people switch to this diet, the bacterial change is very dramatic. massive amounts of bacteria die and have to be reabsorbed somewhere. this can cause constipation. once the intestinal lumen is shed and the bacteria die off, underneath lies the impacted intestinal waste. this is often very dried out or tarlike. this can further cause horrible constipation, since we have 30 feet of intestine including both the bowel and small intestine, encompassing a tremendous surface area, to overcome this constipation, large quantities of fat are required to lubricate this waste as it breaks off the intestinal wall and travels through the intestines to be released. water unfortunately doesn't do the trick if the intestinal plaque is too dry. if you thought the liver could hold alot of waste, then multiply this by 1000 and this is how much the bowel and small intestine can hold. i had to figure this out for myself. there is only one book i know of that documents this information. Guest guest
Actually, , I am glad you posted your brilliant response, too. It adds a second opinion that helps validate the first one for me. I am so new to the idea of cleansing and find a lot of conflicting information that it helps to hear when two or more people agree on something. Thanks for posting and please don't feel embarrassed.
