Leah,

How did they find the liver stones ? With an ultrasound ?

They appeared on the ultrasound when I was in the hospital...then a few

hours later, during a CT scan, they weren't seen. The next day, they were

seen with the ercp, and they removed one or two (why they couldn't remove

all three, and why they aren't sure whether they removed one or two is

beyond me!).

Leah,

Were they cholesterol stones or were they calcified ?

This is so interesting - don't many doctors say that stones only exist

in the gallbladder.

I really wish that I knew! I got to see a nice, glossy photo of one of

them....but that's about it. They didn't tell me what kind of a stone it

was.

, I know your post wasn't directed to me, but I was

just at my MD a couple weeks ago, and she admits that

stones can and do form in the liver...that after the gallbladder

is removed, some still form stones in the liver.
