Welcome, Jana,

I'm sure you'll hear from a lot of helpful folks soon, there

are various ways to do the liver cleanse, I do it basicly the same

way I've been doing it for over 15 years, information posted

at my web site:

http://nutritionist.tripod.com/gallstones.html

There are also lots of helpful links that the moderator who

sponsors this list has attached at the end of these emails.

It sounds like this cleanse would be a good start in

improving your health. Are you receiving help from a

nutritional counselor? It sounds like you may be, as

improvements in diet would help many of the things

you are describing.

Epsom salts can be used internally as a purgative/laxative.

There are instructions for doing so on the side of my box.

Have a good day!

,

You mentioned you have been doing liver flushes for years.

I'm just wondering why you would still be getting stones out ?

Hi , Good question.

To clarify, I started doing this in mid-1980's. At that time,

ultrasounds sometimes showed a stone or two, other times

after flushing nothing, but still passed quite a bit...but NOTHING

like I am passing now. I was in my mid-30's then, and am in my

early 50's now. There was a stretch of approx. 5 years where

I didn't flush, but symptoms kept getting worse and worse,

I was not eating as I should...off the " nutrition wagon " I

guess you could say, which is a shame for someone like me

who used to do a lot of private nutritional counseling (I had

to back off on that a bit due to other family concerns). So

for the past couple of years, I've been flushing as described

at my web site again. I don't do what many do, keep flushing

every two weeks, though I'm sure it would be a good idea

if I had the time. I flush once or twice every 6 months.

I am not sure what to think about why I still make stones.

It could be that once a stonemaker, always a stonemaker.

But since no one that I know of has taken the time to

scientifically study such things, and the medical community

just cuts out the GB, I guess we'll just have to wonder and

do what we feel is best for us. I don't eat a terrible diet,

but it isn't perfect either, and so am glad there is a way to

cleanse.

Have you flushed to the point that you don't make stones

anymore? I do think age is a factor, too. Menopause,

etc., but who knows for 100% sure, I don't <smile>.
