Guest guest
Hey All, Lots of great things to write about. Magnesium Oxide or Oxy-Mag can work in place of epsom salts and it is what I always use to open up my intestinal tract in the days leading up to the flush. If you take enough you can use it to dilate the gall duct instead of epsom salts. It has the advantage of being a bit milder than epsom and non-toxic. I don't really like taking epsom salts and believe there is some toxicity from it, but sometimes you have to make a compromise. Just yesterday I did a flush in the afternoon with around 8 ounces of oil and lemon juice. About two hours later I did another four ounces just to be sure my liver/gb emptied out. I took lots of enzymes and the oil still took a while to break down so I waited until almost 1 am before I took Oxy-Mag with the hope it would help me pass the stones. The problem is that it isn't strong enough when you have so little in your intestinal tract--only epsom salts seems to be powerful enough(or maybe an enema) to clear out the stones. I guess you could just wait until you eat and have a normal bm but I generally don't feel that good until all the stones are out. That's just my two cents. On the days where I do the flush I don't eat anything for breakfast or lunch. I realize that this is fairly harsh just starting out and believe that if you are doing the smaller amount of oil(4-6 ounces) you could probably have a light dinner and be fine. But I would really refrain from eating BEFORE the flush because it is so important that you intestinal tract be as empty/open as possible. I believe this is one of the biggest reasons why people have so much trouble with the oil(apart from toxicity) is that if you've been eating normally and the day of the flush, 1-2 doses o epsom salts is not really enough to totally clear everything out. Then when you flush--all of the stagnant bile, toxins, stones, etc. have a less clear path out of you system. I think our bodies subtly realize this and become very reluctant to drink the oil when this is the case. On the other hand, when your bowels are super open--you will notice how much easier and less naseating the process is. This is one of the reasons Dr. Schulze recommends doing an intestinal cleanse before flushing--he feels when there isn's a clear path then some of the toxins are reabsorbed. With that said I recognize that we are at different places and many of us have too many committments toput that much energy into this process. Still, I would recommend if doing an afternoon flush to do some extra laxatives, epsom salts or whatever else the night before or a water/coffee enema in the morning. Then do your flush in the afternoon just like you would at night--with virtually the same protocol. Again, it would be ideal to skip dinner and maybe have a vegetable juice or something but a salad or something light would be fine also. Lucinda--you are funny too. I am actually starting to like you more and appreciate the strength of your personality. Happy to hear the percussion helped you--isn't it a shock that something so basic really does seem to be effective? Thanks again you two for the dialogue on the coffee, I will be getting it for sure. The only congestion I still have is in the very upper part of my liver and it still has an effect on my neck and right shoulder. I will experiment with the Shulze formula and the SA coffee, as well as take a little time off and see if the blockages/stones in my upper liver can be resolved. In terms of Virgin Coconut Oil, my experience has shown that it is the most therapeutic of all fats/oils and think everyone could benefit from including it is their diet. Books can and have been written on this and I am working on one myself! But is has special relevance for us here because it is so beneficial for those with compromised livers/gb as it requires no bile flow, no enzymes and no liver energy. This makes it totally different than all other fats. It is also mildly anti-parasitic and highly antifungal and anti-viral. It is the best oil for cooking because it has the highest level of stability--most other oils, including olive oil will form transfats at high temps and thus create more potential stones in the future. When I do my flush procedure I try to stick to coconut oil as my sole source of fat for the 3-4 days leading up to the flush because I believe it rests my liver/gb and helps to store up my bile. IMO, most people who are down on coconut oil are so because: a)they have never come across a really good one, they are ignorant of the science behind it or c) they just plain like feeling heavy! It is the only fat I have come across where you can eat lots of it and feel so light and energetic--just like you ate some fruit or juice. Lastly, some of the people who come here have had their GB's removed--coconut oil is is even better for them and it is often used clinically in these cases! the best and purest one you can get is called Virgin Coco-De Creme and smells so much like fresh coconut it's ridiculous. Of course, if you are just using it to cook then the Omega Brand is great and can be found in most HFS's. Take Care Everyone, Tony
