Guest guest
Ronna, As I mentioned I got my gallbladder out Jan.21st... The surgeon said I had hundreds and hundreds of stones in there... and you had mentioned about ppl still having pain, and feeling like they still have stones... well, I'm one of themmmm!!!! When I went back to see the surgeon for a follow up appointment, he mentioned that I might have had stones lodged in my bile ducts that they didn't see, which would cause pain. So he tranfered me to another surgeon ( I haven't seen him yet) But, what their gonna do is insert dye down my throat and go in with a camera and check to see if their are stones... And well i'm hoping that if their are, they can remove them with the tube that their gonna insert! So anyway, this is why some ppl still get pain after it's taken out... Cause the surgeon did mention that once the gallbladder is out.. their shouldn't be any pain AT ALL anymore! Well... gots to go!!! Have a great Day Everyone!!! I'm feeling quite unsure of what I want to do.

Ok - I'm throwing this out there - I understand that the negatives to a choley are: there are dangers to having surgery, that some people end up with chronic diarrhea, and that some continue to have pain(as in liver stones). However, on the other side of the coin, I have been hearing stories right and left from friends, relatives, coworkers, etc. that they've had their gb out, or that they know someone who has had their gb and " they've never regretted it. " It may very well be true that the docs are out to make money and encourage surgery, but I can't help but wonder why it would be one of the most common surgeries done. If you have pain, and the surgery alleviates the pain, and there aren't any discernable negative impacts, why not? I know it may be too soon for you to comment, Noella, having had your gb out so recently, and still having pain, but do you regret it? What about you others who've had it done ...? I'm on the fence here folks, and willing to listen ... Ronna >Ronna, > >As I mentioned I got my gallbladder out Jan.21st... Guest guest
Noella, I'm just curious if you don't regret at all having your GB removed why you are on a list like this? You are obviously seeking something. From a logical standpoint if you were completely happy with your decision you wouldn't need a list like this. You are obviously seeking something. With my situation I was told I had gallstones and that I needed my GB removed. I looked at the Dr. laughed and said " yeah, whatever, I'll take it from here " . I basically used my doctor to find out if I really had stones and once I did I decided to take it into my own hands and don't regret it one bit. If you are happy without an organ that God gave you more power to you. I'm certainly happy I took my health into my own hands and didn't rely on the overpaid MD's to tell me whats best for me. If it happens again I'll just laugh at them again. Craig Sailer > > From: " Noella B.
