Guest guest
Hello ! You most certainly haven't offended me! I very much appreciate all your input. I suspect that it is some type of virus that is spoofing e-mail addresses. I recently had several odd messages appear in my inbox after every message I posted to the group but I let the group owner know and replied privately to the sender address and they stopped so again I suspect it was either some type of virus or that the person no longer wanted to be a member of the group but didn't know how to cancel their subscription so put the group e-mails to auto bounce not realising that the bounce messages would go back to the group members. Anyway all that to say I'm sure it's nothing personal so please keep posting )) Blessings Mama.
Guest guest
There are some sickies who attach virus files to group mail. It has happened to other groups too. It's just someone who has cracked into our group who is bent on nothing but damage. You are correct in never opening an attachment from . Jay ----- Original Message ----- From: L. Guest guest
Thanks everyone, for reassuring me that all is okay, I never opened the file, but it sure was strange to have the gallstones (DOT) ... email address as the return path. I'm glad I never open attachments! Phew! L. Guest guest
It more than likely is a virus or a worm. You'll would never receive anything like that from the group setting. I have had numerous virus attacks myself from mail that appears to be for the group. Do not open attachments. This group doesn't send attachments... By the way,,,you've been doing a great job here . I can't imagine anyone being uptight about the advise you've given so freely. Dale ----- Original Message ----- From: L. Meydrech gallstones Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2004 11:45 AM Subject: Spam?
