Hi , I was reading about your surgery. Hope it

goes well. I was dx'd in Nov 99 with AIH and was put on

heavy doses of Pred and Imuran. I'm now off the Pred,

but still on the Imuran. Haven't had any relapses so

far, thank the Lord. I'm in North Louisiana, where are

you in Arkansas? I did have a biopsy, but not the kind

you're talking about. Sounds different.....

Anyone out there have any idea how I can lose the extra

30 lbs I put on while on the Pred???? Can't seem to

lose it.

I was posting on here all the time, but do not post as

much now. I'm trying to get into it again, because the

support found here cannot be compared to anywhere else.

Thank you guys for being there. Take Care, in La

AIH Nov 99'

Normal cervical spine X-ray series for traums consists of five films: an AP (looking from the front); a lateral (looking from the side); a left and right oblique(looking at the sides or areas where the nerve roots exit from a 45 degree angle between front and back); and an odontoid or open mouth (to look at the 1st ant 2nd cervical vertebraes.

Assuming these are normal, the treatment for cervical sprains is generally ice for the first three days, 20 minutes every other hour. After the first three days, moist heat, for the same time frame, does wonders. Also NSAIDs if tolerated. If there is much spasm, an antispasmodic, such as valium, flexeril, robaxin work well.

The ultimate treatment is usually physical therapy. Most people do quite well.

Hope that helps.

asked:

> Anyone on the Zone diet??? Any feedback?

I tried Kenton's X-Factor Diet, which is similar (high protein low

carb) but a lot healthier, I think, based on organic whole foods, and also

bans caffeine and alcohol. Not a candidiasis diet but has a lot in common

with one.

It improved my general health and also my candida symptoms, I lost about 8

pounds in just over a month and was free from bloating and digestive

problems for the first time in ages. The only problem I found with it was

lack of fibre, I got very constipated and had to re-introduce some carbs to

sort that out.

Sadly when I started to re-introduce some of the prohibited foods the effect

was quite drastic - I bloated up immediately and the vaginal thrush

returned. So I think this is another diet for life.

Can I ask if anyone has used caprylic acid supplements, and if so, did they

work for you?

Hello - I've visited the site a few times.

Very excellent info/views you all are providing.

I'm mom to (33mos) PDD with possible

apraxia, although no diagnosis has been given

for the latter. His Early Intervention therapist

just mentioned apraxia after I pushed the issue.

She says she thinks he has motor planning issues.

OT eval that was done showed that he doens't need OT.

The ST put in for the OT eval based on some things

she was with from working with him 1hr/wk since Dec.

We just went to another (2nd) pediatric neurologist - Dr. Aloisio.

She said he'll need our school districts full

day preschool disabled program. We're going

to be going to the first of 3 evals (that we know

of) next week. We really don't know what to expect.

Any advice would be desperately appreciated!

Thanks,

Jo, Middletown, NJ

Thanks so much. I will try to eat some yogurt. I got so sick of it early on

when we " had " to eat it that I don't eat it much anymore. I will try some

today.

Sandy also recommended the Cetaphil cleanser. I've been using that for years

so I don't know what else I could be using to cause this. I don't wear much

(if any) makeup very often. Who knows ? i have an appointment tomorrow with

a 3rd dermatologists. Can't blame a girl for trying. I'm thinking Iook

pretty good with the weight loss, but I know that people are looking at my

lovely

skin. Always something.

Thanks again to everyone for responding. I really appreciate the feedback.

Leigh-point well taken-I will step up my yogurt. I have not been real

faithful lately to eat it twice a day (blush). I will take that to heart and do

so.

Thanks for the advice!

I sent off an email to the doctor running the study to ask for details. Have

not heard back from him.

Zoe, why don't you post a link to your website for us here. It is very

helpful.

Hello, I have been on 1.5 mg LDN for a week ,and now 3

days on 3mg LDN. Not any symptom relief yet. When

could I expect to see some syptom relief, if at all.

My normal synptoms are weak, wobbly legs and restless

leg syndrome at night and right leg spasms. I already

take clonepin and neurontin for the leg spasms at

night. Any good thoughts, please let me know. Thanks.

When will LDN help symptoms?

Each person is different. Some people, approx. 2/3 will get symptom improvement

and maybe only a few symptoms will improve. In some symptom improvement was

immediate and others it took up to 6 to 9 months before their symptoms improved.

Many of my symptoms improved on the first dose overnight but I started LDN with

the bang of 4.5mg and a top notch compounding pharmacy of Cantrell Drug Co. in

Little Rock, Arkansas...they use pure naltrexone powder, not crushed naltrexone

tablets.

Hi ,

Did I send you the " welcome packet " ? I would suggest looking through the

list of supplements, and possibly taking DLP after a while of being on LDN.

Sometimes the DLP and really help make a difference for those with MS and

some symptom relief. It is recommended by Dr. Bihari in many situations.

If you have not received the welcome packet please let me know.
