Guest guest
Edie, I would say you passed a large stone which got stuck in your bile duct for a short period of time backing bile up into your liver. Then your rocking, bouncing, pacing, pushed it out into your bowel. Did you take a tablespoon of Epsom Salts in a glass of water, followed by sipping water with a little lemon juice in it? I also drink 2T oil and 3T lemon juice every half hour too, as well as getting out a heat pack or two and putting on relaxing music in a candlelit room. And lucky last, Stretch my arms heavenwards every now and then to help open up my upper abdomen to straighten out my bile duct and let the stone pop out. It sounds to me like your body is doing what it's supposed to be doing and getting rid of those stones ))) and no it isn't going to be comfortable but it sure beats going under the knife with all it's associated risks and no guarantees that you won't still pass liver stones. Well, another attack lat night....but this one was different from my normal attacks. The normal attacks begin in the middle of the night as a dull, boring, crushing pain going from my upper stomach and chest, into my back. It's constant, nauseating and horrible. The attack last night started as pain between the shoulder blades....sharp, off and on and when it was constant, felt like a severly pulled muscle. Next thing I know the pain is in front, upper, center belly and wow....PAINFUL! This pain is sharper....kind of radiating or throbbing. My upper stomach swelled to an uncomfortable level (but tolerable) almost like I was REALLY gassy and over-full. The more I paced, rocked and bounced, the more it soothed. This one lasted about 4 or 5 hours. The odd thing was....the pain seemed to move. It started where it always had but ended in my right side under the ribcage. Never had that before. So, I'm wondering....could I had dislodged a stone and it's traveling along my duodenum (left side)??? I started taking lecithin, b-6, and some other herb capsules for liver health (milk thistle, dandelion, artechoke etc) The nutritionist told me the herbs were good for detoxifying my liver and would flush things out. So what's the deal??? Anyone here have a clue??????? Thanks in advance! Edie PS) Still waiting on insurance to kick in....this puppy is coming OUT! I can't take it anymore! Guest guest
<<So what's the deal??? Anyone here have a clue??????? Thanks in advance! Edie>> You are describing a classic hiatal hernia/acid reflux attack - which I've had and ended up in the emergency room for, twice. You also described the time of day that mine occurred - evening/night after a meal - once after going to bed. Jay

Since then several incidents of so-called 'Hiatus hernia' has been confirmed as temporarily blocked bile duct by bloodwork showing elevated liver enzymes. What Edie described is identical to my experience of passing a stone. Blessings Mama.
