Guest guest
Hi all, Does anyone else have loose bm's from taking Milk Thistle? I started it just a few days before starting tagamet for acid indigestion and didn't know which was causing it. I stopped the MT long enough to realize it wasn't from tagamet. I'm going to start that back up when my intuition says too. I also wonder if the liver was just cleaning itself out and I shouldn't worry about it. I didn't feel bad at all. I'm being sent for a catscan for my gallbladder and that tube down the throat thing to see why the tagamet didn't clear up all the pain. The doc thinks my shoulder pains and ribcage all the way around to my back are all BS. She also seemed angry when I told her about the flush, it's a county hosp so no lack to her jag payment, maybe just doesn't like self-helpers.... Told me blood work was fine even when I asked about the liver results. I mentioned the Milk Thistle and again no response. Glad I have this group or I might of just ignored my own part in my health care when getting negative feedback from health care professionals for doing so. She did say that finally, I'm going to be referred to a reumatologist. I was diagnosed but never treated over 14 years ago with arthritis and fibromyalgia. Everyone acted as if all physical pain was in MY head and never ran a single test. Exrays showed the arthritis and the swelling and fatigue were very obvious for the other, but again, were giving me something for my head instead of my body. I hate anti depressants and won't take them. But for 14 years I've ignored pain! Damn. When my side, stomach, shoulder and right heel pains showed up last June that was just TOO much, so I finally went to one of those white coats this April. You know, since it seemed a medical emergency and I should hurry up and make an appt at the county clinic. Anyone else have this gb/liver pain making other probs worse? Thanks for reading this, I had to write it for some self-empowerment, and most of us know that ones' attitude is a big part of the healing. In cases where adverse events have been reported, the most common are headache, nausea and diarrhea. However, these are rare and reversible upon discontinuation of the product. Guest guest
Thanks Jay! I stopped the milk thistle and the magnesium citrate and kept with the tagamet due to serious pressure to go with the acid indigestion. It seems you are right, although it's clearing up. I am trying to find a way to break into some foods to get the right balance and types of protein, fats and carbs so that I can avoid the bad foods, (can we smite Mcs?) Then I want to add back the liver herbs plus some more and get ready for another flush. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jay T gallstones Sent: Wednesday, April 21, 2004 6:41 PM Subject: Re: Milk Thistle and Medical responsibilities...etc. <<Does anyone else have loose bm's from taking Milk Thistle?
